Apparently triggered by the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Democrat Socialist running for the House of Representatives, demanded an end to the Electoral College, and in so doing, also exhibited her complete ignorance about our history and form of governance.

“It is well past time we eliminate the Electoral College, a shadow of slavery’s power on America today that undermines our nation as a democratic republic,” she said in response to another tweet lamenting the fact that four Supreme Court justices have been appointed by two Republican presidents.

Remind me again how the Electoral College elected Kavanaugh.

The only thing I could think of is the 3/5 Compromise, counting slaves as three fifths of a person when using census numbers to determine the number of electoral votes a state has.

So, slavery biased the Electoral College from the beginning, and the flawed Electoral College allowed an evil-thinker to fraudulently take power, and then the evil-thinker nominated Kavanaugh.

Just get 2/3 of each House of Congress, and 3/4 of the states, including at least 10 states with 3, 4, 5 or 6 electoral votes, and it’s a done deal.

Easy-peasy.

Or, alternatively, get Merrick Garland and Hillary’s three appointments to the USSC to declare the electoral college unconstitutional.
