Of course a conservative should expect to be smeared, but too many on our side don’t want to do any heavy lifting. Look at the wimps in Congress and among the base. The left is willing to fight. Trump is a fighter - that’s why he was elected, but we need more than one. It’s a big country.....
Some real out of the box thinking is needed right now because the D's are running circles around the idiot Rs even though everyone knows the whole thing is BS.
In particular this is a brilliant idea. The only downside is Kavanaugh stays where he is. He would be a fool to give up a lifetime seat on the DC Circuit COA for a term appointment to the SC. But maybe just put it on ice for now.
The Rs should help K fund a very aggressive very high profile defamation suit, using the most aggressive such attorneys you can find. Get it going immediately, like file tomorrow. Get the subpoenas out there and start running up the pressure on these folks.
Damages are real. Daughters having to read stories about Daddy a woman and a dildo is way over the top.
And where is the campaign against Feinstein. Pull out all the stops. Let America and her voters know just exactly what a perfidious bigotted nasty like Ashly Judd I won't say it that she is. Maybe you could get her socialist opponent to stand up for due process rights just to help take her down and win her seat.

freepers seem to forget that in the primary Trump supported Luther Strange and not Roy Moore:

Here's something to consider here:
Barrett would have played much better as a nominee in terms of political optics, but remember that she would have been a total outsider with no Beltway ties to help her through the process. Kavanaugh has been a political and legal fixture in Washington for years.
As someone else pointed out earlier, the Democrats in this charade have managed to do something I never would have thought possible up until a week ago: They managed to piss off both the Trump "Deplorales" and the Republican Establishment at the same time.
Do a quick search on the various blog posts and Twitter posts from Eric Erickson over the last week or so. This guy was about as rabidly anti-Trump as anyone you'll find in the Republican Party, and he's been on fire in defense of Kavanaugh.

No problem. I’m sure the Trump Energy Department can start a multi year environmental review of potential ANWAR oil leases if Murkowski doesn’t want to play ball on SCOTUS.
You can listen to Hannity for thirty minutes and figure out he’s not very bright. It’s all soap opera stuff where people like characters, it’s not news and Hannity,Limbaugh have been wrong about the big issues - FreeTrade, foreign intervention. Their only hook is the social conservatives and beyond that it’s blabber...and in the meantime we lost the country of just thirty years ago...

I believe Barrett was named a candidate at the same time as Kavanaugh. I don’t believe Gorsuch was on the first two lists either.
