In my column yesterday, I contended that the unverifiable sexual-assault allegation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh bore “all the hallmarks of a set-up.” I based that assessment on the patently flimsy evidence, coupled with Senate Democrats’ duplicitous abuse of the confirmation-hearing process. To repeat myself:
If the Democrats had raised the allegation in a timely manner, its weakness would have been palpable, it would have been used for what little it’s worth in examining Kavanagh during his days of testimony, it would be put to rest as unverifiable, and we’d be on to a confirmation vote. Instead, we’re on to a delay — precisely the Democrats’ objective. They want to slow-walk Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote until after the midterms, in the hopes that they swing the Senate in their favor and have the numbers to defeat the nomination.
Well, whaddaya know: Late last night, the partisan Democratic attorneys retained by the putative victim, Christine Blasey Ford, delivered a letter to Senator Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), the Judiciary Committee chairman, contending that before any hearing at which she is summoned to testify takes place, there must be a “full investigation by law enforcement officials [to] ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner.”
My personal favorite part of the missive is the lawyers’ complaint that, based on published reports, it seems that some of the senators have already “made up their minds” about Professor Ford’s story. This takes some gumption, coming from Democratic activists who are working in tandem with Democratic senators who decided to vote against Judge Kavanaugh long before the hearing started. The lawyers utter this tripe while in the middle of a transparent gambit to block the nomination by delaying it interminably — or at least until after the November election.

I say let the FBI open an investigation, and let them do what they do best - perjury traps. Interview Dr. Ford first, reminding her that lying to the FBI is a felony. Then give her the Martha Stewart treatment.

Shades of the Anita Hill testimony. Both were ‘Break glass for emergency use only’ weapons that were known to be weak but when nothing else worked, well Feinswine, grabbed the hammer and smashed the glass.
They will literally do ANYTHING to keep the SC from tilting to the right and overturning decades of judicial legislation, especially legalized abortion. And I mean ANYTHING. If Trump nominates a man, they will trot out someone who claims the nominee molested them as a child. They will threaten to murder his/her family. They will sabotage his/her credit, put fake liens on their accounts.
If a person thinks it’s their right to murder their unborn child, nothing is beneath them. That is why I think she is lying.
Don’t we elect United States Senators to serve the citizens of The United States?
We supposedly have elections to pick the person who will do the best job of serving the citizens of The United States.
These Democrat Senators don’t even try to pretend they represent anyone but themselves and the Democrat Party.
And everyone with a lick of sense knew it was a set-up. A typical commie ‘RAT peep show for their ignorant voter base.

It’s stuff like this that sink politicians. The GOP must react to this obvious charade , not by taking it seriously, but by shaming Feinstein. The way to do this is to hold the vote Thursday as planned.

Actually, it’s a STALLING TACTIC.
Assuming, please God, that the Republicans have the majority in the Senate after the election, they will write the rules of the Senate for the next Congress. When they do that, they must establish that members of the Judiciary Committee commit to producing any negative character witness before the competency portion of the hearing begins. But it must be understood by all that bringing up potentially slanderous allegations after the competency hearing begins will mean expulsion from the committee.
Organized crime commits whatever criminal acts advance their criminal aims. The Democrat Party is an organized criminal activity and therefore we can fully expect them to do these sort of things. They could care less about the unfortunate Professor Christine Ford. She is just a convenient street thug who is doing the bidding of the Democrat Party.
When they are finished with her, they will throw her away.
The vote must be held, first at the committee level and in very short due course before the entire Senate body. Get on with it.
