George Clooneys motorbike crashed into a Mercedes car driven by a local man in his sixties on Tuesday morning, causing the actor to be hospitalised.
A source told MailOnline the US star, 57, was riding his scooter from his house in Puntaldia, Sardinia, to the set of his new Hulu TV series, Catch 22, which is in Capo Ceraso, in Olbia, when the accident occured.
George was at the intersection of Costa Corallina, a tourist village with a private harbour, when he got hit by the car as it turned left to enter the village.

Sorry George, you werent the victim here. Too bad youre hurt but you were at fault in this accident.
Other driver must not have known who you were, or hed surely let you drive in his lane!

Well played...

the DBM must think we live on baited breath about the lives of our "stars".....
What a life.
Remember this is the guy is completely onboard with Hunger Gaming you and yours.
I agree. Damn!

I remember that well. People like Loonie Clooney (Democrats) are low-class enough to say horrible things about others they happen to disagree with.
Wonder what non-liberal he’s going to blame for it.
Figures he’s on a scooter. Clooney will be never be confused with say......Steve McQueen.
Yes, I know my screename is Vespa300 but let the record show.......I ride a KLR 650 and in California at our vacation condo, I keep a KTM Duke 390. The KTM can cruise at 80, hit over 100, it’s perfect in my small garage and I can split lanes all day long. It’s legal in California.....(for some reason) So there.
How is the motorcycle? I hope it wasn’t damaged.
Been reduced to a scooter.
Perhaps if she weren’t a terror-symp, I would not mock her name...

Poor guy! He escapes from a leftist utopia, to his safe space in a touristy village utopia, where he gets mowed down by a Mercedes.
Link to video of the impact. He’s damn lucky.

Definitely agree that Clooney is no Steve McQueen. But having lived in Europe I can vouch that scooters are often the best choice for the narrow streets and no parking they deal with over there.
I always had a car but I would have tons of scooters swarming around me at all times. At first I was agitated, every time I needed to make a turn I would stress out about the scooters. Then at some point I came to a conclusion: I'm going to hit one of them at some point, it's unavoidable so stop stressing, if today is that day then so be it. And in that moment scooter drivers everywhere sensed a disturbance in the force. They somehow knew to take more care around me. They no longer passed me on the right when my right signal was on while approaching a corner. They somehow just knew that I had entered a different plane of driving existence and they gave me due respect. And from that day, I never came close to hitting another scooter. Strange but true.
I hope he has a full recovery and wish no harm to come to him or anyone... but I’ve watched the video twice now. There is NO WAY that accident is the fault of the Mercedes driver. The victim should file a lawsuit immediately against Clooney for his negligence in driving so dangerously ON A SCOOTER. Who drives headlong into opposing traffic?
THIS is the link you want. Many photos.
