Figures he’s on a scooter. Clooney will be never be confused with say......Steve McQueen.

Definitely agree that Clooney is no Steve McQueen. But having lived in Europe I can vouch that scooters are often the best choice for the narrow streets and no parking they deal with over there.

I always had a car but I would have tons of scooters swarming around me at all times. At first I was agitated, every time I needed to make a turn I would stress out about the scooters. Then at some point I came to a conclusion: I'm going to hit one of them at some point, it's unavoidable so stop stressing, if today is that day then so be it. And in that moment scooter drivers everywhere sensed a disturbance in the force. They somehow knew to take more care around me. They no longer passed me on the right when my right signal was on while approaching a corner. They somehow just knew that I had entered a different plane of driving existence and they gave me due respect. And from that day, I never came close to hitting another scooter. Strange but true.

Yeah.......I guess in Europe, a scooter can make sense in the city. And they do look fun. The Vespa 300 can hit over 80mph too. Very expensive. Can’t beat the KTM Duke 390 if you want something almost as small as a scooter, but so much power. Funnest bike I ever had. Headed out to the condo in Orange, CA next week. Gonna ride up to the Hollywood hills......reading a new book on the Wonderland Murders in Laurel Canyon. Gonna ride the KTM Duke up there.

Thanks.

My wife and I went to Tuscany a few years back, and I rented a car.

Driving through a medium sized town, as I came up to a stop light, a swarm of scooters appeared all around me, completely haphazardly. When the light changed, they all swarmed ahead, completely haphazardly, cris-crossing in front of me, weaving back and forth as if they were drunk.

There must have been 20 or 30 of them...it was funny, nerve-wracking, and fascinating all at the same time. Happened again at the next light.
