Full Title: Powerful GOP Rep. Jim Jordan accused of turning blind eye to sexual abuse as Ohio State wrestling coach

Rep. Jim Jordan, the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio, is being accused by former wrestlers he coached more than two decades ago at Ohio State University of failing to stop the team doctor from molesting them and other students.

The university announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990s.

Jordan, who was assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994, has repeatedly said he knew nothing of the abuse until former students began speaking out this spring, and continued to deny it on Tuesday. His denials, however, have been met with skepticism and anger from some former members of the wrestling team.

Sex abuse was 'common knowledge' Rep. Jordan ignored, say Ohio State wrestlers JUL.03.201804:07 Three former wrestlers told NBC News that it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly with the students and inappropriately touched them during appointments, and said it would have been impossible for Jordan to be unaware; one wrestler said he told Jordan directly about the abuse.

Former head coach Russ Hellickson, Jordan's mentor, said in a recent video — made by Mike DiSabato, a former wrestler — that Hellickson had told Strauss that he was being too "hands on” with students.

DiSabato, whose allegations against Strauss prompted Ohio State to open its investigation, called Jordan a “liar.”

“I considered Jim Jordan a friend,” DiSabato said. “But at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesn’t know what was going on.”

DiSabato said he reached out to Jordan this year, before going to the university, to tell Jordan that he planned to go public with his allegations. Jordan told him to “please leave me out of it,” DiSabato said. “He asked me not to get him involved.”

Jones has no chance against a Republican who doesn’t say idiotic nonsense about how great “family life” was during slaves times, especially not in a POTUS year with Trump winning the state by 25+ points, no one can overcome coattails like that anymore.

Leftists need to make up their minds. Is homosexuality good or bad. Isn’t this what they want? Maybe it’s only good if it’s a Democrat doing it.

Somebody has got to put a stop to this cycle of accusation=guilt. The left screeches about witch hunts, when they are the prime instigators of them. They gave out the message loud and clear, under BJClinton, that they don’t give a damn about sexual misconduct (and Jordan isn’t even accused of that, merely of “possibly” knowing, they’re even saying “should have known”).

Re your youthful adventures-I won’t tell if you don’t. Neither am I holding my breath to hear about the first charges ever brought against a 17 or 18yo female who made out with a 16 or 17 yo male in decades long ago.

A famous groupie in her autobiography tells an “amusing” story about how she and her fellow “band mates” (named the GTOs) had the hots for a young boy on the scene. They even wrote lyrics to a song about the matter. Naturally she wouldn’t have said if that was the extent of the matter. But if she’d been a man, someone by now would’ve dragged her butt into court.

Now if Jordan had been a famous foreign director, for instance, he could’ve personally drugged and raped a young girl, and the left, much less defend him, would be lauding him. The more perverted his movies, the better, even.

But his alleged “crime” is that he might, just might, mind you, have known, or should have known.

I didn’t either, but the plan here is for them to turn him into another Dennis Hastert in the public mind.

Fascinating that this comes out now. Did Mueller and Rosenstein send one of their investigators to dredge up crap when Jordan started taking them to task? Or perhaps manufacture it?

It’s just not credible that these people start popping up decades later, like the Roy Moore trash...which seems to have conveniently evaporated like Leigh Corfman’s story.

Hastert was guilty of the payoff, was good friends with the Podesta brothers since at least college. I’ve got no doubt about him. The Wikileak emails from the Podestas show what type of perverts they are. The Washington Post article on the Podesta, the Spirit cooking friend, etc..

Jim Jordan is another matter. This is just too convenient a story. They aren’t even accusing him, just saying he should have known. Well, did one of the men confide in their abuse to Jim. No one is going that far. I think it is a political story to hurt Jim and the Freedom Caucus.

Oh, look. The attacks begin on the next Conservative up. You don’t even have to be guilty of a crime to be tarred by these people. Just in the vicinity when a crime took place.

That was my first thought too. If the Dr. touched me I'd have knocked his teeth down his throat.

LOL. I half expected this article to say, "The doctor reached down my pants, grabbed my testicles, and told me to turn my head and cough."

Just like these women used as weapons at the appropriate time who claim stuff from 20-30 years ago.

“..it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly with the students and inappropriately touched them during appointments..”

Showering is a problem? And “inappropriately touched during appointments”? Is that the best they’ve got? Guess I’ll have to knock off the prostate 4xam and “cough” test. Obviously someone has never been in the military.

Of course...Jordan taking flak for the misdeeds of others, conveniently, just after he pokes Rosenstein in the eye over misguided and contrived investigations at the FBI and DOJ.

It’s standard dhimmicrap tactics, at this point.

I’ll stand with Jim Jordan.

And, to the individuals bringing this up...Why now? Was it not just as abhorrent back in the 90’s? Your delay belies your veracity.

“Nope...and maybe the guy did molest them but, now? “

Oh right, a 250 pound heavyweight wrestler would let himself be molested. Hell, not even a 120 pounder. That is one helluva tough sport and they don’t get pushed around.

More on TOUGH GUY Mike:

Mike DiSabato: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

1. DiSabato Comes From a Family of Wrestlers

During his time at Ohio State, DiSabato won the Big Ten’s Medal of Honor. That award is handed out every year to a student who excels at both sports and athletics. He was on the wrestling team from 1987 to 1991.

DiSabato has six brothers, and five of them were also wrestlers on the Ohio State team. His brother Adam was inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame in 2006. Another brother, Dominic, is now the wrestling coach at Hilliard Davidson. And Dominic’s son, Gio, who was a junior in high school last year, was in the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament as the #1 seed in his 120-lb. weight class.

2. DiSabato Has a History of Legal Disputes with Ohio State University

DiSabato runs a sports licensing company. He works with a lot of OSU athletes to sell athletic merchandise. He also works with UFC fighters, notably Chuck Liddell.

In 2001, DiSabato’s company, Silver Knight, signed a licensing agreement with OSU. But in 2006, DiSabato ran afoul of Ohio State University’s administration. In December 2006, he complained to The Columbus Dispatch that the university was considering a deal with Nike Inc. The deal would have given Nike exclusive rights to jerseys, one of Silver Knight’s specialities. DiSabato complained to the Dispatch that, if Nike signed a contract with the university, it would destroy more than half of Silver Knight’s sales.

The university went ahead and signed the contract anyway. And then, soon after the Dispatch published DiSabato’s complaint, OSU terminated its licensing deal with Silver Knight. DiSabato then sued the university, claiming the school wrongly terminated its deal because of his outspoken behavior. He was forced to settle the case, with Silver Knight ordered to sell its inventory and hand over 20 percent of the profit to OSU.

DiSabato’s current company is called the Lutte Licensing Group.

3. DiSabato Joined a Class Action Suit Against OSU’s Use of Athletes’ Images

In 2017, DiSabato formed a sports and entertainment company, Profectus Group Inc, along with OSU football star Chris Spielman. Profectus was involved in a class action lawsuit against Ohio State in 2017. The suit charged that OSU was illegally using athletes’ images to earn money for the school, without getting the permission of the athletes first.

DiSabato has advocated for student athletes to be allowed to win their own endorsements on the open market.

Profectus is no longer a part of that lawsuit.

4. As a Graduate Student DiSabato Researched “Locker Room Culture” at OSU

After his undergraduate degree, DiSabato returned to Ohio State to get a Masters in public policy at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. DiSabato focused his research on on “locker room culture” at Ohio State. He said he presented his research to Jim Jones, who was OSU’s athletic director at the time. But DiSabato said Jones dismissed the research.

“It wasn’t something that I felt, at the time, that he was interested in hearing about,” DiSabato told WOSU.

5. Someone Created a Parody Twitter Account for DiSabato

We are going to the Garden! MSG is going to host Agon. You wait and see. We will get out of youth tournaments and gyms soon.

DiSabato’s own twitter account seems to have been taken down. But a parody account, calling itself @CageFighterMike, created back in 2013, lives on.

The account’s personal description pokes fun at DiSabato’s reputation for getting involved in lawsuits and for generally being very combative and competitive. It says, “Founder of a lot of companies with legal troubles but it is cool because I am the only one that pays athlete, sometimes. Parody.”

If it were “common knowledge” the other teams would have been ridiculing the OSU wrestlers.

This will be the line used against Trump and his supporters. Expect a gaggle of sluts to come forward in the next four months.
