Philadelphias mayors office and Police Department have begun separate investigations into the arrest of two African American men waiting to meet an acquaintance at a Center City Starbucks on Thursday after a video of the incident was widely shared on social media, triggering national outrage.

Dey dint do nuffins.
When you are asked to leave a Business and fail to comply, you are Trespassing.
They are going to turn this into another Woolworth’s Lunch Counter episode.
That being said, I love watching Liberals protesting other Liberals. Even Liberal Immunity has its limits.
I have Yet to see the race of the manager... and I would think that if he/ she was white it would be all over the news... my 2 cents
” I loathe the liberal hacks at Starbucks.”
Well “I loathe” the crap they sell, calling it coffee is false advertising. Starbuck’s current CEO is no better than Howard Schwartz, the last one, who wanted his patrons to have “conversations” about race with their “coffee.” Just more of this “
our values” crap!
So, what is enough? Free coffee for all minorities? I love it when the left eats its own.
They were stealing assets from them - restrooms are for customer’s only and they were just sitting there not ordering anything - sure they said they were waiting for someone but after an hour and their ‘friend’ didn’t show they were asked to leave, and they refused.
Like you, not a fan of Starbucks but occasionally meet clients or colleagues there at their request. Always buy something before taking up space & Wi-Fi. In this case, it seems cut & dried trespassing if asked to leave and refuse to do so. I do like that Howard is in a tizzy over it and throwing his manager under the bus along the way. Both likely richly deserve it, IMO.
“sure they said they were waiting for someone but after an hour and their friend didnt show they were asked to leave, and they refused.”
They wanted to get arrested and knew it would cause an uproar——if I pulled this it wouldn’t rate a line in the local paper.
.
.
They are a couple thugs who came in, refused to buy anything and refused to leave. The store called the police on them and they were arrested.
That’s the system working exactly as it should.
Shh! Do you hear it?
Sounds like oh..$10, $12 Million Size Shakedown.
They certainly didn’t strike me as the Frappuccino sipping type.
Ah yes, the conversations about race they were talking about.
I never understood how that was supposed to work. Were you supposed to discuss Trayvon and Ferguson, Missouri with the cashier, or hold up the line and discuss that with the person behind you in line?
And didn’t buy nuffins, either, which was the problem, I gather.
Funny how nobody asks why the cops didn’t just leave it alone. Why was this escalation necessary?
I have been in a restaurant and met an old friend I hadn't see for 20 years. He sat down and we talked of old times. I finished my meal and we continued to talk. The bus boys came and cleaned the table. After about 10 more minutes, the waitress asked us if we wanted something else. I got the message, said I was sorry and we left to go somewhere else. They only had 3-4 more tables which could have been filled in minutes.
I hope the owner/manager was courteous when he/she spoke to them, but either way, they have the right for the table to produce income for their store. If they had ordered 1 cup of coffee, the owner has to let them stay. As it looks, they are just freeloaders that want to bit$h about something. A million dollar place of business was not built to have squatters take up usable space with no income.
Black men’s arrests at Philadelphia Starbucks prompt city probes amid national outcry

National Outcry my (Obama)
The nation could not give a care about some arrest in Philly.
A classic example.
Media says they are waiting for a friend to “talk about real estate.” Riiiiight.
In the United States, blacks commit homicide at rate seven times that of non-blacks.
