Colleges keep designating spaces as off-limits to men, only to backtrack when someone files a formal complaint or their curious interpretation of inclusivity falls under the harsh glare of the less-woke public.
The latest is the Claremont Consortiums Pitzer College, which apparently didnt learn from Stanfords short-lived no-men weight lifting hours.
The Residence Life office at Pitzer organized a women and non-binary peoples gym day at the Gold Student Center Friday, banning men during the high-traffic hours of 2 to 5 p.m.
The intent was to make people of other genders feel safe to explore the gym, learn about the equipment, or just workout in a man-free space according to the event listing. It doesnt mention transgender students, presumably including men who identify as women under the banner of women.
The Claremont Independent reports that the organizers havent explained why women and non-binary individuals have difficulty exercising with men, if there have been any incidents in the gym where men have made other genders feel uncomfortable, and where Pitzer males will work out during that closure.
The paper said male students at Pitzer had to use a gym on its sibling Pomona campus, a 20-minute walk, if they wanted to work out between 2 and 5 on Friday:
There has been no indication whether the school or resident advisors plan to continue allotting hours for women and gender non-binary peoples.
Public spaces that exclude men (however defined) are legally problematic, as University of Michigan-Flint economist Mark Perry has written.

Poet, how do women feel about the practice of consistently including women and trangenders in the same group? It seems a bit weird to me (an unrepentent male).
A long time ago I used to play squash at the UConn gym. They had eight courts and you could just show up whenever you wanted to and get a game. Then something happened. I don't know if women were previously excluded, but they started using the courts. It was as if they cut the number of courts down to four. It was a disaster.

From Wikipedia:
In "The Second Sex", Simone de Beauvoir argued that men had made women the "Other" in society by application of a false aura of "mystery" around them. She argued that men used this as an excuse not to understand women or their problems and not to help them, and that this stereotyping was always done in societies by the group higher in the hierarchy to the group lower in the hierarchy. She wrote that a similar kind of oppression by hierarchy also happened in other categories of identity, such as race, class and religion, but she claimed that it was nowhere more true than with gender in which men stereotyped women and used it as an excuse to organize society into a patriarchy.
Also note this:
The Second Sex, first published in French as Le Deuxième Sexe, turns the existentialist mantra that existence precedes essence into a feminist one: One is not born but becomes a woman.
I think this is the original conception of the idea that you can "self-identify" as whatever you want. You are not born one thing or another. You choose to make yourself something in particular. Chromosomes say otherwise, but who cares about science?
Liberal bullies are using the same weaponized empathy to ban whites from various places and events.
“There needs to be one land mass for straight people and one land mass for freaks.”
Put the freaks on the opposite side of Guam so Guam doesn’t tip over.
Unless, of course, the original wording was "male, female, and non-binary he created them," and a later transphobic copyist omitted the "non-binary" part.
they are not banned completely, just a few hours on 1 day? is that correct? That doesn’t sound like a big deal. Sorry in advance!
Banning “males” is BINARY. I thought there was a whole spectrum of “genders”! Do they ban men who “identify” as women? those who claim to be genderless? insanity, no matter what the answer.
Personally, I self-identify as a Most Magesterial Lord of the Universe. I am properly addressed as “Most Worshipful Master, and Rightful Owner of All I Possess”, and the correct way to greet me is prostrate, with bared buttocks presented for the cane, with an offering of not less than $200 or the equivalent in dark chocolate truffles. Watch your microaggressions, dude, or it will be hell for you.
Plain and simple.
I recall a teacher, talking in the break room at school, mentioned to her fellow teachers, proudly, that she told a boy he should shut up, as “males have had their time, now it’s our turn”.
...not anticipating the shock of her colleagues which have their own boys in the public school system.
These people really believe this is ok. When my son graduated from university I noted it was about 80% female graduates. My wife and other female family members didn’t even notice.
The education system is now completely tilted toward females. This is not good. At the end of the day both men and women will always hold the standard that men SHOULD be able to support a family, alone. That they don’t have to is optional because women have freedom unlike any other time in history, because of good men, yet it isn’t respected by many women.
What sexist, man-hating idiots.
Just make them wear some sort of emblem on their clothing to signal everyone who to discriminate against (I saw it in a movie once).
Guys should just say “I identify as a woman between the hours of 2 to 5 PM.”
Neither needs to be used.
And thank you for correcting me.
Even I was indoctrinated.
If you are referring to humans you are wrong.
There are NO genders. Human beings have sexes (and there are exactly two (with the very rare mutant)), male and female. No living creature has a gender
That’s part of the plan.
“Time for male athletes to go Galt.”
Would love to see an entire college football team go on strike and the school replace them with an all lesbo/tranny team.
