EXCLUSIVE: Fired FBI official authorized criminal probe of Sessions, sources say

Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a "lack of candor," McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

I don’t believe there was a Federal Investigation....they just grabbed some irrelevant info and called Sessions a liar.

Who approved it??? It's a pretty big leap to investigating the Attorney General from a lower-level (from him) Justice Department employee. If this was Comey, he needs to be hauled in for questioning...
...by a Prosecuting Attorney, not other Justice minions.

"According to the sources, McCabe authorized the criminal inquiry after a top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, and then-Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., wrote a letter in March 2017 to the FBI urging agents to investigate "all contacts" Sessions may have had with Russians, and "whether any laws were broken in the course of those contacts or in any subsequent discussion of whether they occurred."
Sounds like McCabe was taking his marching orders from Democrats. Also, Rod Rosenstein is up to his keester in this, and should be fired.
Lack of Candor.....means he was not truthful and forthcoming. It's very broad.
Much like Bruce Jenner and Bradley Manning; they can 'consider' themselves to be girls, but the evidence says otherwise.
Not only was there an investigation, but this news is the first step in exposing the story BEHIND the investigation.
Start putting this together with the phony FISA warrants, people.
Sessions was under surveillance during the 2016 campaign. This was the REAL reason why he had to recuse himself from the Russia-Trump collusion investigation. He cannot oversee an investigation in a criminal case where he already knows he was one of the VICTIMS.
Hey Jeff! How does it feel now? Make your blood boil? This is the kind of crap you let Trump suffer through since day one. So, suck it up butter cup and get some indictments.... or apologize for firing McCabe and go hide again.
And Franken is now history. Leaky Leahy will soon be gone physically. He has to be on up there in age. Is he taking Alzheimers meds yet?

I am unable to disagree.
Off the cuff comment and all, maybe that is why God is allowing those countries to fall to Islam. Or at least be destabilized for a time. They have totally lost their way. Maybe those places being overrun by invaders will cause their spying and ‘iron hand’ criminal enterprise (Soros/Clinton/Bambi/etc.) to fall.
Are people supposed to be happy with the recused Sessions, and with Rosenstein in charge?
Director Clapper lied under oath to Congress in 2013, where was the investigation into Clapper?
Director Brennan lied when he said “Let me assure you the CIA was in no way spying on [the committee] or the Senate", where was the investigation into Brennan?
That's what one gets when we have an "independent" DOJ.
