Nearly half of humans believe in alien life and want to make contact, a survey in 24 countries has found, in what researchers said helps to explain the lasting popularity of the "Star Wars" franchise 40 years after the first movie was screened.
On the eve of the release of "The Last Jedi", researchers published findings that 47 percent of more than 26,000 respondents believe "in the existence of intelligent alien civilizations in the universe".

If you ever met my ex, you would believe in alien life.... and demonic spirits!
I will never believe that present existing races all evolved from the same ancestor without some kind of DNA help.
God didn’t create this M A S S I V E Universe for one Planet to have life.. It would be like a Contractor building ten Trillion apartments for a couple and their 3 year old.
I believe in alien life.
The Democrat Party for instance, it’s alien to me.
Given the number of permutations available in the uncountable planets in the entire universe, I suspect there is intelligent life somewhere. Given how difficult it would be to get here from there and how advanced they would have to be to do it, I hope they do not find us, ever.
As the sign in some california health club used to say: when the ETs get here, they will eat the fat ones first.
No, Democrats prove there is extraterrestrial beings, most of whom seem to be neither male or female.
Maybe God did create the universe with just us in it. Maybe His plan is that we’ll spread around the universe and be fruitful and multiply.
It’d really be nice to retire to a nice little planet somewhere off the beaten path.
Maybe someday that will be possible.
Great analogy!
Given the mind boggling number of galaxies, stars, and planets in (just) the visible universe, there's no question that life exists elsewhere.
The universe is incomprehensibly vast in terms of distance and time.
There have doubtlessly been, are now, and will in the future be countless civilizations, but they are so far away in terms of distance and time that they might as well not exist for all practical purposes.
Jhn 1:10
He was in the world, and the world was made by him
Act 17:24
God that made the world and all things therein
...so, clearly HE made the world - and not in vain, either!
Isa 45:18
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:
Inhabited!
Now here’s the interesting thing:
Heb 1:2
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the WORLDS;
Heb 11:3
Through faith we understand that the WORLDS were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Do you think HE made those worlds in vain? I don’t.
They also are inhabited.
I think it’s likely, but in the absence of verifiable evidence, there’s no reason to “believe”.
Well so we know that Project Blue Beam could be used to get 50% of everyone against everyone else....
Agreed, I do not recall anywhere in the Bible or teachings referring that we are the only ones here.
The estimated number of stars in just our own galaxy is about 400 billion.. About 80% are small, dim, M or K type stars which tend to be unstable flare stars. Another 5% perhaps are giant stars with short life spans. Of the remaining 15%, perhaps 1% of them have planets similar to Earth in their habitable zones. Maybe 1% of those develop life similar to life on this planet, and 1% of those intelligent life as well. That’s 60,000 planets with intelligent life, just in our galaxy. There are about a trillion other galaxies in the visible universe.
“Are Earthlings alone?”
—
Depends on which earthling we’re talking about and which type of earthling. If ya mean are humans “alone in the universe?” the answer is “yes” - with the exception of our Maker, we are indeed “alone”.
Ya gotta admit, she had a blast!
Who cares if there is life on other planets? We can't take care of what is here right now.
Half of humans are below average................
