More of Obama's legacy.

In other news, Susan Rice and other former senior Obama officials retain their security clearances for some odd reason.

A tragedy for all involved.
But it does make me think that the media is again ramping up the “body counts”. Four dead in Niger? This has been a major story for days. Did no soldiers die during Obama’s 8 years? Because I don’t know if I heard of any ...

The U.S. patrol was seen as routine and had been
carried out nearly 30 times in the six months before the attack, the Pentagon has reported.
And there in lies the problem. Routine? These guy are professionals they don't make mistakes like that on their own.

A senior *Democrat* congressional aide ...
Funny they don’t mention that.
How do I know? It always is.
Obviously this was, at least “in part”, a failure of intelligence. The other parts of the failure may be more significant.

By definition all ambushes are intelligence failures. Maybe there was more that could be done, but it could just take a jihadi kid with a twitter account to send the nearest ISIS flash mob over if they think they have better numbers.

So, heard today journalists pronouncing it Knee- jair instead of Niger, like Tiger.
Is this going the same way as Pock-ee-stan?
To: ColdOne
No doubt that massive intelligence failure was due to the CIA being preoccupied with screwing Trump is some form or fashion. Time to start cleaning house there and at the FBI.
To: ColdOne
The initial reports had the Americans in the back of a truck.
That’s not a Special Forces patrol.

On Friday afternoon, Defense Secretary James Mattis met with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, to discuss the Niger raid. Earlier this week, McCain said the committee had not been provided with the information about the Niger mission that it "deserves."
McCain again. Waiting for the Pentagon to conclude its investigation might mean losing some time on a microphone and an opportunity to criticize.
