Rohingya crisis: Humanitarian situation catastrophic, UN says

Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar are facing a catastrophic humanitarian situation, according to the UN secretary general.

Antonio Guterres said alleged attacks by security forces on Rohingya villagers were completely unacceptable. The army says it is fighting militants and denies targeting civilians.

Later the UN Security Council called for urgent steps to end the violence.

Some 379,000 Rohingyas have fled to Bangladesh since violence began last month. Whole villages have burned down.

The Rohingya, a mostly Muslim minority in the Buddhist-majority Rakhine state, have long experienced persecution in Myanmar, which says they are illegal immigrants. They have lived in Myanmar, also known as Burma, for generations but are denied citizenship.

The answer is quite simple actually . Reject and convert from Islam . Lose the skull caps and the veils ,shave the beards , stop with the Bengali dialect language and speak Burmese . Stop using muslim speech references ( Allah this & that) and start respecting Buddhists and their traditions . As an alternative to Buddhism , the Rohingyi could convert to Christianity . But they need to turn away for the dead-end road of islam . That's the albatross around all their necks .

Slaughtering the local police and other infidels is the Rohingyas’ normalcultural and ethnic group. It is what they do. All must respect cultural differences. The Buddhists abandoning Rakhine would be another egregious denial of cultural differences-that-must-be-respected of the Rohingya Moslems.

Burmese armies , from various era’s Kings and Kingdoms and in various alliances ; from the Northern Siamese principalities , to the Lao princes , etc , used to rage and rampage throughout Siam ( what is now modern Thailand ) . Once in awhile the Siamese would prevail ( Naresuan) but usually it did not work out so well for the Siamese(Thai) . The Burmese spared nothing and no one . Even as supposed ‘Buddhists’ , they would rape and pillage , de-populate and enslave . Siamese monks were slaughters , temples robbed and raised , even the heads of Buddha statues lopped off . The Burmese practiced total war . Only when Europeans , and their weaponry and advisory expertise , got involved did things stabilize a bit . Only the British East India Company’s overthrow and occupation of the final Burmese king/kingdom stopped the pattern of war and devastation . Some of the greatest of all south east asia civilizations and developments fell to the Burmese sword and spear . What the majority f the Burmese nation is doing to the foreign Rohingyi muslims is right in line with the way they have always dealt with things . It;s in their genes to sort things out with genocide . This will not change . Regardless of the modern world’s hew & cry .

The Rohingyis have picked one of the toughest of countries to invade , on of the most merciless of peoples to impinge upon . Deep in their DNA , Burmese remember when their Buddhist ancestors had to flee the sword on Islam in India , causing them to flee , away from the murderous muslim invaders , into the jungled fastness of deeper southeast asia . They have not forgotten . Now , the simpering whining , demands and complaints of a modern era muslim invasion falls on deaf ears with the Burmese . The only reason the Rohingyi are in Burma proper in the first place is because the colonial British overlords allowed them to come in , in their typical Brit tolerance for the intolerable . Were it not for the Brits , not a muslim foot would have ever encamped upon Burmese soil .

Changing their religion would not help. The Burmese military is currently fighting the Christian Kachin and the Buddhist Shan. They oppress all ethnic minorities. The Rohingya were well represented in the British census of 1799. They are not illegal immigrants. I have no love for Islam, but I have walked the jungle trails of Burma with Christian missionaries and seen the rape, murder, torture and ethnic cleansing that is the SOP of the Tatmadaw (Burma Army).

An army that kills Christians, Buddhists, and Moslums including women and children because they are not ethnic Burmans is evil..
