Burmese armies , from various era’s Kings and Kingdoms and in various alliances ; from the Northern Siamese principalities , to the Lao princes , etc , used to rage and rampage throughout Siam ( what is now modern Thailand ) . Once in awhile the Siamese would prevail ( Naresuan) but usually it did not work out so well for the Siamese(Thai) . The Burmese spared nothing and no one . Even as supposed ‘Buddhists’ , they would rape and pillage , de-populate and enslave . Siamese monks were slaughters , temples robbed and raised , even the heads of Buddha statues lopped off . The Burmese practiced total war . Only when Europeans , and their weaponry and advisory expertise , got involved did things stabilize a bit . Only the British East India Company’s overthrow and occupation of the final Burmese king/kingdom stopped the pattern of war and devastation . Some of the greatest of all south east asia civilizations and developments fell to the Burmese sword and spear . What the majority f the Burmese nation is doing to the foreign Rohingyi muslims is right in line with the way they have always dealt with things . It;s in their genes to sort things out with genocide . This will not change . Regardless of the modern world’s hew & cry .
The Rohingyis have picked one of the toughest of countries to invade , on of the most merciless of peoples to impinge upon . Deep in their DNA , Burmese remember when their Buddhist ancestors had to flee the sword on Islam in India , causing them to flee , away from the murderous muslim invaders , into the jungled fastness of deeper southeast asia . They have not forgotten . Now , the simpering whining , demands and complaints of a modern era muslim invasion falls on deaf ears with the Burmese . The only reason the Rohingyi are in Burma proper in the first place is because the colonial British overlords allowed them to come in , in their typical Brit tolerance for the intolerable . Were it not for the Brits , not a muslim foot would have ever encamped upon Burmese soil .
