Kurt Smolek, a Diplomatic Security special agent with the State Department and Dayton Police Academy graduate, was found dead in the Potomac River on Wednesday and the cause is listed as undetermined pending an autopsy.
We're hearing tonight that Smolek, 45, is a 1998 academy graduate and one of his assignments as a special agent was as a member of Condoleezza Rice's security team.
According to DC Metro police, Smolek was last seen Monday, Aug. 28, in the 600 block of Water Street, Southwest, about 10 p.m. A missing persons bulletin described hims as white with graying brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds.

If he was found off of Water Street SW then he was really found, in the Washington Channel and not in the Potomac proper. They should have reported a body recovered near the Washington Marina or near the Titanic Monument or given a more precise location than “the Potomac River”.
I guess they would report that Wilbur Mills fell into the Potomac but at the time it was reported correctly that he was splashing around in the Tidal Basin. Well it is all connected.

Although they look similar and have related backgrounds, the DC Police report says the guy found dead was 45 years old. Meanwhile, according to Wikipedia, Kurt M. Campbell was born in 1957, which would make him 60.

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 45-year-old Kurt Smolek, who was last seen in the 600 block Water Street, Southwest, on Monday, August 28, 2017. The incident was reported on August 29, 2017.

Yes, there was an early rumor going around that they had his last name wrong in the missing person report. That it actually was Campbell. Didn't think about the age thing til afterwards.
Eye brows don’t look the same... and Hillary’s giant eyebrow guy, Campbell, seems taller than Smolek’s 5’ 8”.
Quite a doppleganger, there. Campbell looks a lot older than the Smolek guy but who knows how old his pic is...
