Self-trial.
Self-sentencing.

Calling him a “sick, tormented guy” completely relieves him of any responsibility for a truly cold blooded killing. Sorry, such people are not sick or tormented. They are just selfish and conscience less to the nth degree.
He got too close to where some of relatives live so yeah, I’m glad this is over.
It’s possible that he was a Muslim, but he was also NUTS. According to some childhood friends, he was very fond of torturing small animals, and would usually call in one of his friends to watch (hence shooting the old man and posting it on FB). They were too scared of him to do anything or tell anybody.
According to his neighbors, sometimes he was fine and friendly, and sometimes he refused even to acknowledge them and looked like an entirely different person. Now it’s true that nutcases are frequently attracted to Islam, but this guy was crazy from the get go. And like many nutty people, he worked in a mental health facility...

You say that but it’s almost impossible on this forum or watching the news not to have seen gun camera footage or bomb footage shot from LGB drops.

I have stayed away from doing this type of work in a direct approach for 20+ years. (Only doing it rarely when it popped up in demonstrations, but not even disclosing what took place.) However a very dear friend had an auto immune disease that caused her kidneys to shut down to the point she is on dialysis, and she is only about 40 yrs old.
Medical establishment could find no cause. So I did some investigation work and sure enough, A guy popped out and started talking to me using her vocals with a male voice. I asked him if he ever had a body of his own and he said yes. I asked him what caused his death, and he said disease. I asked what type of disease and he said kidney..... Bingo... It will be interesting to see if the kidney function returns.
The woman was a microbiologist with graduate degrees... thus what happened was a real shock to her belief system. Afterward she told me that she could hear the guy speaking, using her voice. She was freaked out. She cried and cried at the relief when it was over...... I always ask what event happened in her life that allowed the bogie to enter her, and he said she was 9 yrs old when he entered. (I couldn’t make this stuff up it is so bizarre...) This was done in order to heal the wound that made her vulnerable so none could return and take his place..

Somewhat disagree. Even totally righteous shootings are traumatic for the LEO. Besides taking a life, there are the shootingboards , IAB processes, required visits to dept shrinks, and the paperwork. Best that he offed himself.
