Fox News Channels Alan Colmes has passed away at age 66 after a brief illness.
Colmes leaves behind his wife, Jocelyn Crowley, who issued the following statement:
Alan Colmes passed away this morning after a brief illness. He was 66-years-old. He leaves his adoring and devoted wife, Jocelyn Elise Crowley. He was a great guy, brilliant, hysterical, and moral. He was fiercely loyal, and the only thing he loved more than his work was his life with Jocelyn. He will be missed. The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.Bill Hemmer announced the sad news this morning on Americas Newsroom, which then aired a tribute package from Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity, his former co-host on Hannity & Colmes.

Oxymoronic
Its odd that when I do a internet search, I find that most liberals didnt like him. I listened to him in the 90’s on radio at work. He used to piss me off, but for some reason I kind of liked him......I guess it was because he didnt go to the name calling and slander that the present day libs do. RIP Alan....a real man.

You’re right.
For some reason I was thinking Romney but it was Santorum.
He was on the “wrong” news channel. Kind of like Juan Williams, whom NPR was merciless to when he revealed his true feelings upon encountering Muslims on planes.
I remember emailing him once in the early days of Hannity and Colmes, inviting him to join the conservative side. He sent a pleasant and respectful reply indicating that he was comfortable with his political leanings.
Seemed like a genuinely good guy that anyone could find likeable.
RIP Mr. Colmes.
Although we disagreed politically and socially, he was classy and dignified. Prayers for his family and friends who mourn his loss.
“I would rather he lived and come to Jesus.
Amen! Lets hope and pray that that happened at the end.”
He was Jewish and loved his God as you love yours.
Married to Monica Crowley’s sister. Hope he had time and help to find Salvation.
Sympathies to his family.
So you know for a fact that Mr. Holmes didn’t turn to Jesus before he died? Any other nuggets of wisdom you want to enlighten us with?
Last time I saw him on Fox, he seemed to look more ill/frail than usual.
RIP
Prayers up for his family. Hope he wasn’t an atheist.
And by the way, as to the Christian perspective, does Matthew 7: 1-3 not apply? Please. Let’s not pretend that statement was from the Christian perspective.
ALAN COLMES always looked ill to me.
Pasty-white and in recent years, dyed dark hair.
Sean Hannity said his wife is having a really hard time.
She must have really loved him and centered her whole life around him. I understand THAT.
Being a conservative, this will sound very odd.
I produced and sang all of the song parodies that Alan used on his shows for several years. From The Clintstones, Haiti is a Trap, Jeff Dahmers Lunch, and all of the ones I produced, he was a lot of fun to work with and always very bright. He was a broadcaster first and a liberal second.
Even though I disagreed with 80% of what he said, his shows were always entertaining. I will miss sharing our shared love of political humor and song parodies. So many wondered how I could do those songs from a dyed in the wool liberal, and how a liberal could play something done by a rock-ribbed conservative. But it worked.
Alan was the last voice to be heard on 66 WNBC in New York on the day of The Big Switcheroo when half a dozen stations were sold and the entire market snapshot changed.
Rest well, Alan. The great beyond is a bit funnier today.
I know that they were always friends. I was joking about the show format. Often the shows are a conservative, and a liberal. The conservative speaks the most. The liberal presents very limited liberal arguments, that the conservative very rapidly tears apart. I know Colmes knew much more than he presented on Hannity’s show, but knew that wasn’t what he was supposed to do on the show.
“He was Jewish and loved his God as you love yours.”
No, I don’t think he did. People who believe murdering children is morally acceptable do not know any God and can’t possibly love Him. That’s why I hope he came around before he died. Colmes god was the Democratic Party, Leftism. Like all Leftists he only played the part of a Jew.
So shocked to hear of this. He was not that old. Seems many liked him and had good to say of him.
RIP to Alan Colmes and condolences to his family.
Good heavens. Why would people here mock him in the name of their religious piety? I disagreed with him, but he seemed like a good man. There were times as with Tom Braden on Crossfire, where his decency outshined his liberalism.
I wish him well in his rest.
It is impossible for a nonbeliever to understand my post.
