Starbucks can hire all the refugees it wants, it’s competition vowed to hire 10 thousand veterans

They’re hiring the wrong people. But another company is doing the right thing.

Liberty Alliance vice president Joe Wurzelbacher, who earned the moniker “Joe the Plumber” after his discussion on socialism with then-candidate Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, said that Starbucks has its priorities all wrong. Howard Schultz, the coffee giant’s CEO, announced plans to hire 10,000 refugees to work in its restaurants.

When 11,000 air traffic controllers called his bluff, President Reagan fired all of them–it’s called leadership

“I believe he should hire 10,000 veterans” instead of the refugees, Wurzelbacher said. “They’re the ones who made it possible for Starbucks to be where they’re a now.”

He found it ironic that Starbucks is only able to force the need for an additional 10,000 employees because we now have a business-friendly president in the White House.

“For people to be able to afford Mr. Starbucks’ overpriced coffee, they gotta have jobs,” Wurzelbacher said. “And that’s what President Donald Trump brings to the table, and that’s why Mr. Starbucks is able to hire 10,000 more employees.”

I been known to pick up a cup of Starbucks because they are in the Safeway where I shop. I like very dark robust coffee and every now and then theirs hit the spot. But, now I'll dump them altogether.

The hunt is on for something dark roasted and on the robust side.

In the meantime I'll amuse myself picturing the look on a newly minted Somali barista when a pasty white raggedy dreadlock hippie woman orders a, "quad long shot grande in a venti cup half calf double cupped no sleeve salted caramel mocha latte with 2 pumps of vanilla substitute 2 pumps of white chocolate mocha for mocha and substitute 2 pumps of hazelnut for toffee nut half whole milk and half breve with no whipped cream extra hot extra foam extra caramel drizzle extra salt add a scoop of vanilla bean powder with light ice well stirred"

In fairness, SB has hired veterans, as well as low-income people, so I’d cut them some slack there. Theoretically, a company can hire whomever they want.

However, I find absurd their recent decision toward hiring refugees, or rather, making refugees a priority. SB has been in the forefront with liberal causes — gay rights, feminism, etc. Why are they supporting a group that collective persecutes gays, women, Jews (CEO Shultz is Jewish)?

For that matter, why do they even support liberals, period? These are the people smashing SB windows at demonstrations.

In 2013, Starbucks announced a commitment to hire 10,000 veterans by the end of 2018 — in essence, the same commitment that CEO Howard Schultz made on Sunday to refugees. The company says it has hired more than 8,000 veterans and military spouses since 2014.

Refugees come from a culture that do not use toilet paper, but their hands to wipe fecal matter from themselves after they have a bowel movement!

This is a problem with some Muslim doctors, as well.

Good to see Joe the Plumber still active. He’s the guy that gave Obama a hard time in Northwest Ohio when Obama spewed his liberal BS.

Joe is ripe for a Nobel Prize in economics.

That's simply not true. Reagan gave them all the opportunity to get back to work, but they wouldn't and thus they quit.

Years ago before my daughter died, we were in Rochester, MN in a small hotel across from St. Mary’s Hospital. We were coming down on the elevator with some maids. They were talking about not wanting to work on a certain floor. It seemed the floor was full of Muslims. They did not believe in flushing used bath paper and just tossed it on the floor. You have me wondering if they used that paper to wipe their hands. Yucky. The King of Jordon and his people were at the Mayo Clinic where she was having a checkup. When we got on the plane to come home, the King’s. plane was parked next to ours. It had a crown on the side and the color was awful. The king had taken over a whole floor at St. Mary’s. I got lost a number of times at that huge hospital.

So... is the CEO saying that he’s going to fire 10,000 current employees ? I mean, it’s not like they can build more STARBUCKS. They would have to start stacking them on top of each other.

Do you HEAR THAT, STARBUCKS EMPLOYEES ? YOU ARE ALL GOING TO BE REPLACED BY FOREIGNERS.

Is that for real or is it fake?

I don’t drink coffee. Period. We have a mini Starbucks in my building, and the bosses where I work like to hand out gift cards as rewards. I’ll get hot chocolate or chai tea latte when I get a card. That’s it.

Oddly, the STARBUCKS trademark DOES contain the STAR and CRESCENT.
