Mary Tyler Moore is in grave condition at a Connecticut hospital ... TMZ has learned.

The Mary Tyler Moore show was one of the great sitcoms of all time.
It had a lot of the same writers as the early years of The Simpsons.
The casting on that show was perfect.
I don’t care for Ed Asner’s politics, but he was perfect for the role of Lou Grant.
She was a doll!
And in her day she was a great actress and comedienne.
From one of the best sitcoms ever:
"width=500">
She was a good guy.
Yes the quintessential babe of the late Beat era
Flip hair style
Tight capris
Dark turtleneck
Keds simple white tennnies
My mother basically
Similar looking and same style
Or sleeveless shift boucle dress with gloves
Women were more feminine
When I was in college, a local TV station broadcasted reruns of The Mary Tyler Moore Show every week day at 4 P.M.
My girlfriend and a bunch of her dorm friends would crowd into her room every day to watch it.
If I was free, I would come by and watch, too.
Sweet memories, from the simpler times of youth.
Thanks, Mary. Get well soon.
Don’t feel bad. I was reading about Shirley Jones the other day and I thought she was gone but apparently she is still alive.
MTM complimenting Sarah Palin as well as being a Republican was the reason “Lou Grant” (Ed Asner) dissed her.

God knows that many of them,if they ever got to know me,would hate my guts.
Her legs appeared in the TV program, Richard Diamond, Private Detective.
Yes, Hot in Cleveland.
Valerie Harper looked terrific in that show. Rumor is that Moore has gone blind from the diabetes. I believe that because she seemed to not be looking in the right directions on-cue.
Really? Poorly worded? Why? That is correct usage of the word ‘grave’ - as in ‘gravely ill’...
A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.
Glad I swallowed the ginger ale before I read that one. LOLOL!
When I lived in Michigan one of the local Detroit radio morning shows played a game called “Canadian or Dead”.
They’d read the name of a celebrity. They were either Canadian or dead. Callers had to guess which.
Damn it was a hard game!
Laura Petrie = off-the-chart hot.
Mary Richards = not nearly as hot as Laura Petrie. Funny how those things work.
Dick Van Dyke Show = Greatest TV sitcom ever (IMHO).
Like we should give a rip about what Ed Ass-ner or any other celebrity thinks about politics? Do me a favor, Ed. Do your job and stick to the words that the writers put in the script for you.
I’ll never forget the ugly green dress episode. The end of it is one of the most memorable things I’ve ever seen on TV.

“If McCain had asked me to campaign for him, I would have.”
Sorry, Mary. If Ace McCain had wanted to win, he would have asked.
