Heather Leavell, a fourth-generation Girl Scouts troop leader and proud mother of an 8-year-old Brownie, could not sleep the night after she found out the Girl Scouts would be marching in Friday’s inaugural parade for President-elect Donald Trump.
How, she wondered, could an organization that preaches respect and honesty and that seeks to empower young girls march for a man who has repeatedly demeaned women and bragged about groping their genitals?
“My blood was boiling,” said Leavell, a 43-year-old Melrose resident. “My whole life, I’ve been very proud to be a Girl Scout. But if they march in this inauguration, I’m out.”

Excellent. The girl scouts has been taken over by a bunch of lesbian feminists. It would be nice to restore that great American institution.
I suspect one would get a very different response from a Girl Scout’s Mom in Alabama or Texas.

What she means is
Respect is only for people I like and politicians/governments I agree with. We should pretend any others are literally HITLER and show disrespect. We should attack them so harshly that kids hearing the attack aren’t able to sleep because of the nightmares. We cannot show respect to the process now, one that has worked for over 2 centuries, because I don’t like Trump. The girl scouts must teach kids to show disrespect to those who they disagree with.

My girls, now in their early 20’s, were in girl scouts when young. We pulled them out after we realized the whole thing was just cookie sales for the top, and trips to the mall.
Her mom is the one that is the problem.
I guess the WOMEN’S MARCH people won’t be supporting the GIRL SCOUTS.

But then, one must remember that the WOMEN’S MARCH is merely the SKIRT that groups like BLM are hiding behind.
Gave up on the girl scouts when they started supporting abortion.
I understand, our girls are also in thier 20’s. We looked at scouts for our girls, but ended up doing 4h. 4h was much more family oriented and contained none of the feminist indoctrination.
In the Boy Scouts, the President is their leader. I guess not so much in the Girl Scouts.
Another snowflake that thinks that she knows better than everybody else’s collective wisdom.
I see that the GSA home organization supporting subversive agendas (abortion) has really paid off for them...
