Someday, Bill O'Reilly may add to his list of historical books, which include Killing Kennedy and Killing the Rising Sun, the title Killing CNN.
It portends to be the chronicle of a vital turning point in American history, the death of the propaganda machine in our politics, and the resurgence of genuine journalism.
I have for some time now eschewed referring to most American news institutions as "mainstream media" and instead termed them what they are: the Ministry of Propaganda (MoP).
~SNIP~
For those who may find themselves uneasy at the possibility of official censorship, remind yourselves that what CNN is being censored for is not reporting, but lying. They actually accused Trump of hiring Russian prostitutes to urinate on a hotel bed where Obama had slept – and then, at the press conference, had the audacity to accuse him of being "improper" in his refusal to dignify their propaganda with a response.
Your time is over, CNN. Let your liberal cohorts in other parts of the propaganda machine take note. When you strike at Trump with lies, he will avenge the insult with that most terrifying of all weapons: truth. To paraphrase a famous Democrat president (FDR), you have nothing to fear but Trump himself. Well should you.

May I remind the author that CNN has not been censored, officially or unofficially. He could ban them from all press conferences and that's still not censoring them.
Good
Gee how did I miss that one? All the news organizations, and the establishment politicians need to start accepting reality. That reality being that they are way out of touch with the world because they are comfy and cozy in their own little environs that are unlike what most people deal with on a daily basis.
“He could ban them from all press conferences and that’s still not censoring them.”
And Trump’s lawyer suing for defamation is not censorship either
They are functionally over in the minds of Americans spread across this country who share common values and interests. But they are fictionally not over.
Here’s what we’re going to see as the Trump Administration gets rolling after inauguration:
1) CNN and the other Ghoul News Networks will establish an ersatz counter-government. A hypothetical coulda-should-woulda been administration that features the responses and what-ifs that would-have-been with a President Hillary or a magically retained President Obama,
2) Their fantasy cabinet picks will be their figurehead implementers of this fantasy administration, and Trump’s plans and actions will be metered against this fantasy league, and
3) They will keep on insisting that the rule-of-press trumps the rule-of-law, legislators and legislation, and those Americans who DEMANDED the change that forced all of them into the fantasy realm.
They won’t stop. It’s their way. We will have to roll over them like Rachel Corrie in the end.
In an interesting parallel, the French nobility and wealthy felt the same way circa 1789......
Suggesting that CNN run for their lives. Run to truth, honesty and the American Way. Run away from fake news. Apologize to the American people for their complete rudeness.
Wonder what are the chances of that really happening...(LOL)
Bravo! The way Acosta was shouting at him was enough to give him the boot. You are in a conference room. Show some decorum. Never ONCE did he shout to 0bama like that. Stick a standing mike on the floor and let them walk up and ask a question.
That is just the beginning. No more answering and wasting time trying to elicit a response to a total fabrication to begin with. I’d have added one more. Have Acosta ask John McCain where he got the report in the first place and how did he happen to be the chosen recipient of such a document? That is the r other side of the story CNN and the Mop isn’t working on..
I have high hopes for a book titled, “Killing Colmes”.
Forgive me if this has been covered, but do we know if Trump actually stayed in the same room BO did? Did the "media" check and verify this?
Genuine journalism is Man Bites Dog. But in any reasonably functional society, most of what actually happens is good, normal, routine. If you restrict your attention, as genuine journalism does, to what is unusual you thereby restrict your attention almost exclusively to the negative. You read the newspaper, you do so with the understanding that you are reading about what does not usually happen.
If you are trying to program Watson, you should keep journalism out of its inputs until it understands that context.
An all-too-common example is the cop shooting the black man. That is a Man Bites Dog headline. It does not usually happen, but precisely for that reason it makes headlines when it does.
Not only do I agree wholeheartedly with what you posted, jiggyboy, but I'd like to take it further.
The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution only says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..."
It does not in any way guarantee access to any person or institution, high or low, in this country. It does not guarantee that "the press" has facilities in the White House or any other government building. It does not make "the press" the government watchdog, or guarantee that all public officials must answer their questions.
The Supreme Court has given "the press" wide latitude regarding sources, protections against libel and slander suits, ability to cover news, etc., but that's it. There is no guarantee or requirement that the White House must hold daily press briefings, or that any president must hold press conferences, or that news makers must accommodate the media in any way.
The responsibility for gathering news belongs solely to the companies who are in the news reporting business. How they do it, when they do it, whom they hire to do it are solely their responsibility.
Vinchy Media.
No he did not stay in the room. And was not in the country then.
And NO, the media DID NOT check anything.
Please don't buy into any aspect of this story. It is 100% false. For example, the story accuses one of Trump's lawyers of being in Prague at the time some supposedly nefarious thing occurred when (1) the media named the wrong person,(2) the person they named was in San Francisco at the time, (3) and person incorrectly name had never been to Prague and produced his passport to prove it.
Have you noticed how the MSM always goes to Nancy Pelosi for comments before Kevin McCarthy? They went to Harry Reid before Mitch McConnell?

It's hard to shout when you are on your knees, groveling with your nose glued to the floor.
My wife knew this was a fabricated joke the moment she read it: she said, "Men at Trump's level don't do that -- they find a way to hurt you that'll cost you five million dollars."
I knew it was fake, because if you find urine in a bed Obama's been sleeping in, you already know who did it -- he's such a chronic bed-wetter.
(Never mind that this episode was four years *after* Obama had slept in the bed.)
And just where is that vile POS? I haven’t seen him for a while.
