I will readily admit I had too much emotionally invested in this election or politics in general. Because of that I wimped out and decided I didn’t need the blood pressure raising of what looked like a Hillary victory party unfolding. I needed to decompress so I decided to exercise and watch a John Wayne movie. I then went to bed trying to come to terms with an H POTUS. Not easy and while I did sleep a bit I woke up around 3 and decided to find out what had happened and got the good news. Sorry you lost $300 but I think in the long run you would have lost more had the result we feared had happened.

“I once told you, Ryan... if even ONE makes it out, it’s a Victory.”

I hear you. But the reality is, the Country won big.

And the long hard slog of taking back our Country begins.

This was a repudiation of the last eight years, and the eight years of her and Slick Willie.

It was for all intents and purposes, a Bitch Slap of epic proportions.

Carpe Diem. Cause the diem is here.

The only way we’ll get Va back is to stop paying so many Yankee liberals to live in NOVA.

Oh, my head!
How can so many Freepers be un-hungover this morning?

The last thing you need when dealing with a crisis is to be drunk. Trump being a non drinker probably didn’t imbibe at all last night.

I was just addressing those voters myself.

It is very troubling that those folks couldn’t see any of a host of problems Clinton represented.

It’s unsettling to think these people are mingling with us every day.

It was a tough night. it affected me, and I’m sure it did others as well. Pins and needles for hours can take a toll on you.

I wouldn’t drink on a night like last night.

Too much on the line.

10,350 posts and counting...

Is that some kind of a record for one thread?

Voting for a criminal just so she could be the first woman president was ignorant. Women, and feminist men, should have known better.

Diana, I have used your quote “Best. Election. Ever” SO many times in conversations with people. Stuck in my head.

You are indeed correct. It WAS the Best Election Ever. Made more so because of the win.

Ronaldus Magnus would be proud of us all.

Criminality doesn’t bother the left. The system they advocate mimics criminal behaviour. When the crimes of Communism were exposed many years ago only a handful stepped back to evaluate what they advocated for. The rest just either shrugged their shoulders or tried to justify mass murder. When you can do that everything else is minor in comparison.

I’m still a little shocky this morning. I went to bed when he securely had 270 EC votes locked up, but I truly thought That Bitch would pull something in the night.

SO glad I was wrong.

I’m proud of us, too! I hope the MANDATE sticks and the GOPe weenies are quaking in their boots! They are TOTALLY on notice!

“...ut I truly thought That Bitch would pull something in the night....”

Haha!!! I had the same felling, so I stayed up until it was confirmed. When that little weasel Podesta came out, I thought immediately “Uh oh... they’re feverishly manufacturing ballots in Philly somewhere as we speak.”

But to no avail.

We won.

America Won.

I seem to remember a couple of 15,000 and 20,000 post threads in the past. Not sure if it was opus related, Quidam related or just pics of Catherine Zeta-Jones over and over.

We have had a few that grew amazingly fast, such as the Challenger explosion and 9/11. Not sure where they topped out in a single thread.
