Hampton Univeristy Center for Public Policy Hampton Univeristy Center for Public Policy Enlarge Image Enlarge / View More Images Hampton, Va.— The latest Hampton University Center for Public Policy (CPP) poll reveals that the FBI’s decision to reopen the Hillary Clinton email investigation may have triggered a boost for Donald Trump with likely voters in Virginia.
Democratic Presidential nominee Clinton had a two point lead before the email news story broke on Friday Oct. 28. She is now trailing three points behind Republican Presidential nominee Trump.
With only six days left before the November Presidential election, Trump has jumped ahead of Clinton, erasing a 12 point deficit reported by the CPP in early October. This surge for Trump demonstrates again how erratic the run for the White House has been as we head into the final days of Decision 2016. This is the first time Clinton has trailed in the CPP polls this year, the latest poll was conducted Oct. 26-30.
When Virginians were asked if the election were held today, 44 percent of those surveyed would vote for Trump and 41 percent would choose Clinton, while a high percentage of voters remain undecided (15 percent). This is a major shift from just one month ago when Clinton led Trump by 12 points. (CPP poll, October 2016 - Clinton 46 percent , Trump 34 percent).

During the midterm election of 2010, Fox News had a Fairfax County Democrat guy on who admitted that they do just this - they wait until all state totals are in and then they “find the votes they need.” And he said it proudly and with a smile.

Trump needs +8 or +9 to compete with Union demoncrat voter fraud.
So VA could just win it for him provided the above holds true. All the other battlegrounds like PA, CO, NV, NH, WI, MI and ME will just be icing on the cake.
This is an absolute shocker! If this trend holds on Election Day with Virginia following to the American Patriots, the election be all but over by 10:00 pm.
Then we can toast a few and watch the media long faces all night.
I live in SC having gone to Clemson but I grew up in Fairfax County (Fort Hunt). I still consider Virginia my home state. I love Virginia. Bush carried it twice and Trump can carry it given Hillary’s problems and the fact that nobody likes her. Bush carried it twice. If Trump can stay close in NOVA he’ll win. There are lots of military and defense contract employees that will vote for Trump. My brother-in-law who lives in Fairfax City just got laid off from Raytheon a defense contractor. Pray for him and my sister.
Oh yeah in CO, the Repubs gained about another 4k on Dems for ballots returned yesterday.

I din’t think about the defense contractors when considering the NOVA vote. That is a tough choice for them. Trump- more defense spending but less cronyism and waste. Or Clinton - anti-military but easily bribable.
Nice to see some survey data that gives some hope. In addition to the lack of enthusiasm for Her Infernal Malevolence across the country and in particular, Virginia, the fact she has pointed stated she intends to put coal miners out of work tends to rub some coal miners (many of whom we have out in the western reaches of the state) the wrong way.
If Trump gets VA, he will have a landslide victory.
These were elections in a non-Presidential year. The turnout will be much different in 2016 as it was in 2012 and 2008.
