The latest USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times tracking poll puts Republican nominee Donald Trump up nearly 7 points over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton as of Sunday morning — and over 20% among black voters
Trump led Clinton, 47.7% to 41.0% — his highest overall support in the poll, and the largest gap since Trump led by 7.3% during the party conventions in July.
The poll was conducted among 2,507 respondents, including over 400 who are polled every day.
In addition to increasing his lead overall, Trump continued to improve among black voters. While media outlets have tried to assure readers that Donald Trump’s trip to a black church in Flint, Michigan was a disaster, Trump’s support among African-Americans immediately skyrocketed above 19% in the poll and has stayed there for four days, hitting an all-time high of 20.1% in the poll released after midnight Sunday morning.

If blacks even shift to 33% republican a few things will happen. 1) republicans will likely win nationally for a while 2) blacks will get a lot more focus on from both parties as they become swing votes. Right now white women are the swing vote and get most of the attention and pandering. Trump is right - what do you have to lose? Minorities besides Asians are no better off today than 1965

I believe that’s entirely possible. Maybe even likely, given that Americans of all stripes have known Donald Trump for decades, and have formed good opinions of him in that time.
I believe this is why all the negative press about Trump is boomeranging. People know him too well to be fooled by the lying media.
The same biased media is covering for Hillary and doing their best to bolster her image, which also ricochets on the purveyors of that slop, because people know Hillary just as well as they do Donald. The woman has terrible negatives, and is, without doubt, the worst nominee the Dems have chosen in our lifetimes.
Not sure this is right, but I sense that Blacks who seriously listen to Trump hear a man who wants to carry on a conversation with them, and NOT someone who is talking down to them and lecturing them. And naturally, that appeals to them just as you would expect.

This is anecdotal, but I just drove through (incredibly) affluent northern New Jersey, and I saw nothing but TRUMP signs.
