Democrats have a new goal: not just to defeat Republican nominee Donald Trump in the November election, but also to “destroy” the movement behind him.
The New York Times reports Thursday that Democrats, encouraged by Trump’s struggles to deal with the controversy surrounding Khizr Khan, hope to press their advantage to “squash Mr. Trump’s movement.”
The Times cites David Plouffe, an Obama adviser-turned-Silicon Valley lobbyist, urging Democrats to “destroy” Trump and “his kind.”
Recently, California’s Lieutenant Governor, Gavin Newsom, made similar remarks, saying that even if Trump won, his campaign marked “newsom beginning of the end for gop” for the Republican Party.
The Times elaborates with quotes from other Democrats, indicating the same ambition:
“The first order of business is winning,” said Geoff Garin, a strategist for Mrs. Clinton’s 2008 campaign who now advises Priorities USA Action, a pro-Clinton “super PAC.” “But the larger stakes of the election are putting the country on a path where Trump’s views of the world are far in our rearview mirror.”
Senator Barbara Boxer of California said that a Democratic win in November was far from guaranteed, but that she hoped for “a complete revulsion of the Trump wing” that would lead to a “realignment” of the Republican Party.

KNX 1070 News Radio in Los Angeles is doing the same thing. “Trump is down in polls. Trump is down in fund raising. Trump is preventing other Congressional leaders from running for President. Trump is controversial. Trump is...” Yeah. We get it. KNX doesn’t like Trump. KNX is digging its own grave.
Everybody is missing the point. Trump is not the problem, the Republican party is the problem..there is not a lot of difference btween the two parties - it is not liberal versus conservative, but ruling class versus the ‘little’ people. That is why more money is made in Wasington and the coasts than 90% of the rest of the country. Now, the RNC is trying to blame Trump so they can milk more out of the deceived class. I have personally given thousands to Republicans in some form or another. Never again, unless they return to the party of the constitution. I will only vote on candidates based on the merits that I deem important. No more blind loyalty to any party.

Trumps “movement” is based entirely upon Trump so if you defeat Trump you necessarily defeat his movement.
You are way off. Trump is a figure head for a complete break away from the globalist free trade cheap labor open border strangle hold of the Establishment. Trump didn’t invent this long standing unrest he simply put a face to it.
The movement is not Trump. He is its George Washington, its general, but the revolution is growing stronger daily. Never more will we bow to the terror of government tyranny. It ends here, now.
The Uniparty would like to dispense with even the fiction of two political parties. Make it just like China. A fascist state.
The media would then:
A) ignore it
B) talk about barbeques causing global warming or any other filler BS news
C) do a man-on-the-street that would show they had it coming for voting for hate
