Heidi Cruz, wife of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, was reportedly rushed out of the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night after the crowd turned on her husband at the end of his speech.
Boos rained down on Ted Cruz as he issued a speech calling for people to vote on their "conscience" and declining to officially endorse Donald Trump, despite loud calls for him to do so from the crowd.
With her is Ken Cuccinelli, the former attorney general of Virginia, who has also been firmly anti-Trump.
Cuccinelli reportedly confirmed to journalists that he helped Heidi Cruz leave the scene after the speech out of concern for her safety.

“And for all the boos Cruz got later from the Trump backers inside the convention hall, supporters of the Texas senator said his refusal to back the billionaire was “true leadership.”
“I support it 100 per cent,” said Dalton Glasscock, a Cruz delegate from Wichita. “If someone feels they can vote for Trump, great. If they can’t, vote for someone they can believe in. He left the door open to more.”
His remaining supporters form a cadre of of some of the dimmest bulbs in the planet or the snake-oil salesman has succeeded in creating one hell of a weird cult.

Winner! Now where is the brain bleach....
I saw him punch his wife also...couldn’t remember if it was from FR or something I just ran across on youtube...I watched it several times, couldn’t believe the jerk did that with cameras all over the place.... combined with the picture of his daughter not wanting to give daddy a kiss today, that man has some problems that are just under the surface...The US dodged a big bullet by not voting for him..
They are the Republican version of the Clintons.
Pray America wakes
“scumbag Canadian son of Lee Harvey Oswald’s buddy.”
If the elder Cruz was a pro-Batista exile working with the CIA, odds are he was working undercover to inform on Oswald and the other nutbars.
Yes. Yeah, Ted, If ya wanna go out there and slit your wrists at the podium it’s okay by me.
There goes ANY hope of Cruz ever being a presidential nominee, or even being nominated as a Supreme Court Justice.
Trump sat back and in a masterful stroke, let Cruz fall on his own sword. The work of Cruz,s own ego absolutely destroyed him, therefore Cruz is not, nor ever will be President.
I feel sorry for Carly Fiorina and Heidi Cruz. They are blinder than bats as to what the future is or they would have advised Cruz much better than they obviously did.
Cruz has proven himself such a perpetual jerk, I doubt he will remain in the Senate for long.
As many of us have said over the past year... best election EVER!
He really was enjoying himself on that stage.
Exactly.
The crowd turned on Jesus, too. Not saying Cruz is anything like Jesus, but just sayin’.
Don;t feel sorry for Carly or Heidi.
they know exactly what Ted is, and what they signed up for.
And you can bet Carly won’t be endorsing Trump.
We have not even seen nor heard from her this week.
Another loser.

It was more like “Lord of the Flies”, but this stupid human instinct to kick someone while they are down and keep kicking even when someone is beaten or broken is very disturbing....
Reminds me of the islamo-animals who enjoy throwing stones at women who are buried in the sand up to their necks...
Winning Graciously is just as important IF NOT MORE SO than losing graciously.
I do believe the man brought it upon himself. What did he think would happen?
I suspect he is surrounded by yes people who encourage him to “stand by his conscience” instead of people who SHOULD be telling him, “you pledged to stand by the nominee, if you want to stand by your principles, you should support the nominee”. And he fell for what they were telling him. Heidi? amongst others.

This has been one hell of a primary, hasn’t it?
What was lost in your comments, is how to lose gracefully.
I don’t think any of us would be talking negatively about Ted, if he had lost gracefully.
He has nobody to blame but himself, considering folks are only going after him because he refuses to abide by this pledge to support the nominee.
And by not doing that which he pledged, he actually aids and abets Mrs. Clinton’s bid for the Oval Office.
Sorry, but he deserves what he gets for that.
Ted has the Rodney King gene. Instead of complying, he continued to cause trouble. That generally results in what both got/are getting.
Nobody at the RNC would hurt Heidi or Ted, Ted already hurt Ted and Heidi.
