Ecclesiastes 1:9: "There is nothing new under the sun."
Well, that goes for the content of most political speeches, too.
By now you may have seen the day's leading headline -- the one that posits Melania Trump's speech Monday evening at the Republican National Convention was "plagiarized" from a speech made in August 2008 by Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention.
To begin, some of the most bias headlines lead one to believe that Mrs. Trump plagiarized her entire speech. This is false.
The truth, rather, is that two portions of Mrs. Trump's speech are being called into question for their striking similarities to Mrs. Obama's speech eight years prior.
The similar portions were made early on in Mrs. Trump's speech and concern the values instilled in her by her parents as a young child growing up in Slovenia. Below are the two women's speech excerpts for comparison:

Tempest in a teapot. But I must say who is the ‘team’ we’re told which put the speech together. If there are some infiltrating weasels let’s smoke them out now. In fact I would be surprised if this has not already occurred.
It’s got to be some kind of inside job. As someone on reddit said, how could someone recognize a small part of an 8 year old moochelle speech that fast? They had to already know ahead of time that the speech segments were so close. Whoever wrote Melania’s speech, stole that segment and tipped that Jarret Hill guy off about it. It’s either that or people transcribed Melania’s speech and ran it through some kind of database, hoping to catch something but that’s kind of grasping at unknown straws.

Melania is the victim and I feel so bad for her. She must be going through a real downer right now...all this dreck surrounding her after she delivered such a fine, heart-felt speech last night.

Well well Names are being named!
Wait will a quiet time an put him in charge of choosing bathrooms
Why? It’s a nothing burger that has done absolutely zero damage. If anything it helped promote her speech, and more people rad it.

It will be a distant memory, if remembered at all, for the majority in very short time.
True.
And...this makes the case that Melania Trump is First Lady material, complete with words said by someone who is/will have been a first lady in the past.
The people having their fainting spells over this bit of 'plagiarism' are the Media, DEMs, GOPers, and their flying monkeys that post on the FreeRepublic.
They want to do everything they can to avoid talking about the Benghazi mother who called out Hillary as the liar that she is. Thus all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over this nothingburger.
What a shocker!
MSLSD is all over the “plagiarism.” Dunno who their announcer might be but he is a nuclear-strength Clymer.
I doubt she wrote it, but it could have been copyrighted.
The story at Truth Revolt has been taken down.
The thought police are at work.
This was presented as quite the click bait. And I was hooked.
I clicked because I am interested in what the article cites as being the source for Obama’s ‘08 speech.
But alas, the site loads so slow due to adware bloat I gave up.
So, what does it say Michelle ripped off?
And, Biden and Obama both lifted parts of their speeches from Neal Kinnick and Deval Patrick, respectively, so they don’t have a leg to stand on in terms of being outraged or condemning Melania Trump.
I agree that whomever wrote that speech for her screwed up big time.
You’re fired!
