Well, that goes for the content of most political speeches, too.
By now you may have seen the day's leading headline -- the one that posits Melania Trump's speech Monday evening at the Republican National Convention was "plagiarized" from a speech made in August 2008 by Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention.
To begin, some of the most bias headlines lead one to believe that Mrs. Trump plagiarized her entire speech. This is false.
The truth, rather, is that two portions of Mrs. Trump's speech are being called into question for their striking similarities to Mrs. Obama's speech eight years prior.
The similar portions were made early on in Mrs. Trump's speech and concern the values instilled in her by her parents as a young child growing up in Slovenia. Below are the two women's speech excerpts for comparison:

I really hope that whichever speechwriter it was, that inserted the similar passages, is fired. Today. Melania Trump is a beautiful, classy, intelligent and sincere woman. There is absolutely NO COMPARISON with Moochelle. Someone set Melania up and they should be booted. NOW.
Who comes across as more believable Mrs. Trump or Mrs. Obama?
One has a proven track record. Is the media believable?
Does the media have a hidden agenda and swings left and liberal? Does the media rain on a conservative parade on purpose? If this is all they have to say, they are desperate.
It is much more important to talk about Making America Safe again, not what Mrs. Trump said or didn’t say. We are not safe because of failed policies of the current administration.

Agree. But the loudest meme today is about Melania. Obviously it is Big Media, intending to ignore Sean Smith’s mom, Marcus Lutrell, Sheriff Clarke and the 13 Hours guys. They simply cannot let the truth get out about the fecklessness of this Admin.
This faux issue just highlights how utterly crooked the media are in this country. They’re breathlessly covering this issue as if a presidential candidate was caught operating a private email server against federal laws and departmental regulations, and the only way anyone knew was because a criminal hacker discovered her private email domain in a string of emails he had discovered during one of his security breaches. Boy, that second thing sure sounds like a story that the media would have a field day with.
Melania Trump is an American patriot. Michelle Obama is an American, America hater, bigot, and abettor of cop killers!!! End of story!!!

At least c-span televised the entire speeches. Even Fox was cutting with their stupid analysis. That Megan Kelly gets on my nerves anymore too. These “know everythings” always pull negative comments out of a positive situation, to interfere with our own concentration and decision making. The key is not listen to their play by play comments but watch, listen, objectively without distraction from media types.
The media is as feckless as the Obama administration and the democrats. They want socialism to weaken America. That is the only thing they give a feck about.
Kelly is unwatchable
I would bet there are hundreds of women who all gave some similar statements in a campaign speech because it is common sense.
Probably EVERY FIRST LADY has in the last hundred years expressed similar sentiment.
Independence, working hard, coming up from harsh conditions, values and wanting the best for your children are not for the first time only given in a speech by Mrs. Obama.
The media is acting is going to upset Trump. He will defend his wife and call the media out. The Democrat Party Liberal media is picking a fight.
What the Leftist gobbling today is all about, is the fact than Mrs. Trump totally outclassed Mrs. Clinton & Mrs. Obama, in conveying an appealing picture of the Trump family values. That was the purpose, and that was the achievement. She will absolutely "clean the clocks," of the Leftist harridans this fall; and they know it, and their sycophants are now desperate to find an antidote. Their problem is that there really isn't one.
Mrs. Trump has class! Mrs. Clinton never has shown any.

Does the media repeat Democrat Party talking points? Is that plagiarism? Repeating like paid parrots Democrat Talking Points seems to be accepted. Talking heads get paid big money to steal other people’s comments.
