He sure can pick ’em.
This weekend conservative columnist George Will ripped up his Republican Party card and left the party over Donald Trump.
George Will even urged fellow Republicans not to support Donald Trump.
Will wants Hillary to pick the next Supreme Court justices.

George Will has a record of doing this.

George Won’t.
Too bad Trump’s no Ronald Reagan.
He’s the Reagan on this election.
Patrician George. Fancies himself a blue blood.
I’m not defending George Will, who defines elitist, but this hardly qualifies as “trashing” Reagan. I’m sure there are reams of text by Will doing just the opposite.
Interesting article. Thanks.
Will history repeat itself?
This is all theoretical to George. We wants to ‘grit it out’ for years of HRC, and then elect a conservative.
Gee George, how many SCOTUS and other appointments will she make while you’re throwing a tantrum?
Oh, and who is this great conservative hope, who would beat an incumbent HRC? Odds are 4 years really means 8 years...or a total of 16 years of Barry/Hillary control.
Oh, and George, what happens in 4 years...if Trumps runs in the primaries again...he’d probably win. Would you ‘grit it out’ for another 4 years.
It was good thing this was back in 1979 when George could still use the phrase “niggling thoughts”...
Trump is a true Conservative. Will is a self-serving attention seeker.
BUMP
Trump is the Reagan of this election cycle.
I'm all in for the big hair ticket by letting my hair grow out until Trump is elected president.
If they were Conservative or Reagan Republicans they would shut their mouth and use Ronald Wilson Reagan Thirteen amendment
After years of being trashed by “Ol’ Frank” Roosevelt, the Republican leadership had been pounded into submission, comfortable as the “second class” political party, solely interested in big business, and happy with the crumbs tossed to them by the Democrats.
So with the rise of Eisenhower, the great split happened between the Barry Goldwater conservatives, and the new institution of “country club Republicans”, who controlled the leadership.
George Will is one of the last of the progeny of the country club Republicans. He was comfortable in being thought of as a conservative, but he never embraced conservative values.
As such, we should all give him a robust “toodle-oo”, thank him for at least nominal support over the years after recovering his locker room key, and be sure to validate his parking as we mutually bid farewell.
And in future, of course, be very careful to never refer to him as a conservative.
In truth, even Reagan himself wasn’t always the idealized Reagan we conservatives sometimes tend to hold in our minds (I’m often guilty of this myself). Though he was certainly way better than anything we’ve had since.
George Will not vote for Trump. OK, scratch one vote. He has no following. So flick him off your lapel like the ladybug he is.
Will is a pompous, egotistical ass overcome with his elitist sense of self-importance. He has trivialized himself beyond his prior exceptional capabilities to do so.
