Italy (Ammoland.com) Pope Francis spoke with a group of young people at a rally of thousands at the end of the first day of his trip to the Italian city of Turin.
Francis started by attacking the Right to Keep and Bear Arms as well as accusing the allies during World War Two of being complicit in the killing of Jews, Christians and homosexuals.
Francis issued his toughest condemnation to date of the weapons industry, saying.
If you trust only men you have lost, he told the young people in a long, rambling talk about war, trust and politics after putting aside his prepared address.
It makes me think of people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit a distrust, doesnt it? he said to applause.
He also criticized those who invest in weapons industries (gun owners), saying duplicity is the currency of today they say one thing and do another.
Francis also built on comments he has made in the past about events during the first and second world wars.
He spoke of the tragedy of the Shoah, using the Hebrew term for the Holocaust.
The great powers had the pictures of the railway lines that brought the trains to the concentration camps like Auschwitz to kill Jews, Christians, homosexuals, everybody. Why didnt they bomb (the railway lines)?
It is surely an upside down world when the representative of G* on earth disparages the right to self defense and accuses the Greatest Generation of being complicit in Hitlers genocide and the destruction of Europe and Russia.

You see with a crossbow a peasant could take out a highly trained knight.
And that just would not do.
Only the wealthy and powerful should be armed, otherwise those little people might start getting ideas above their station.
The more things change....
The right of self-defense, granted by God, includes the concomitant right to possess the tools needed to effect that right. This transcends nations and politics.
He’s not my Pope so I don’t care what the man has to say. It just makes no differance to me.
Wears, yes. Fills, no.
No, he’s a sinner in need of repentance and a Savior, just like everyone else, despite how much this particular pope likes to look down his nose at everyone who disagrees with him. He’s certainly no Mother Theresa, who was an inspiration to all.
Says the man guarded by some of the most deadly guards on the planet-complete with guns.
Peter carried a sword, but was told by Jesus not to use it because His destiny had to be fulfilled.
I agree. Francis is a clown, but he’s hardly a “false prophet” type.
At least one of Jesus’ disciples, Peter, carried a sword at
Gethsemane. Were he against swords, that would not have happened.
Wrong pope in the popemobile, but those guys are still around. Odd that the pope would be protected by all these "non-Christians."
Maybe he should get rid of all the evil protection.
He is a doctrinaire left-winger trying to pretend to have a clue. No one should take his views seriously anymore.
