"If there's no endorsement, then I would not invite them to speak," Trump said of other top Republicans in an interview with the New York Times.

But if so they left out the part that would clarify that this was hypothetical, making it look like Trump is just huffing and puffing vainly. That makes the report itself kind of a lie.
Thats riiiigggghhhhhtt! And they made a big stink out of Trump maybe not doing so right up to the Indiana primary. Even though “HE” was the “ONLY” one who signed a pledge.
Trump comes from a different point of view, which is to dominate and then re-assess the situation. Kind of like dog packs do.
It’s the closest thing to grace that the law of the jungle has.
“Is there a system by which each hopeful gets to vote on the speaking panel? Nothing less than this makes sense. Trump would be boasting of a power he doesnt even HAVE.”
I’m sure there is a system of sorts. If anyone has veto power over who speaks at the convention it would be Trump.
Trump is the presumptive nominee. The agreement was signed in the interest of party unity. The boys better fess up.
Who can forget Chris Christie’s speech in which he forgot to mention Mitt Romney?!
I wouldn’t trust Kasich. He’s liable to take the platform and denounce Trump.
I hope the Donald keeps both of these loose cannons far away from the stage.
Without a context, it is to wonder what the “Sam Hill” is going on. Trump appears to have the delegate votes going in. However don’t they actually have to cast those votes?
I have. There’s nothing credible there.
“They signed the pledge like Trump was forced to do by Rinse Penis Didnt they? They held their hands up at the first debate. Remember? They are liars. What do they say about their lies?”

Can you imagine what Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace (at the table during the first hit job, I mean debate) would be saying if situations were reversed? They would never let Trump or the viewers forget it!
Since I don’t watch fox anymore (cut the cable after that fateful night), I’ll never know. But I’ll bet they say nothing at all.
It might not even have been phrased as a hypo, but be one in fact. "Who are you going to allow to speak at the convention?" sort of thing.
As for the report being "truthful," that depends on how one defines "truthful." The press is hostile to the Trump candidacy, and the press has no honor or scruples. Sometimes a truthful story pops out, but those are the exception.
Any time I see a quote, I assume it is out of context, and totally misrepresents the truth. That is the case about three quarters of the time.
“No vice-presidency either?”
You assured me only last night, that Cruz would be Donald’s VP pick.
Don’t go soft on us now. Get in there and bat for Ted! (the lying, scumbag, weasel that he is).
They all signed it. But MSM covered Trump signing it (To get better ratings — who gives a shit if the rest of them signed Some are more equal than others.)
If I were Donald, however, I would be less and less worried about having to tie down every single solitary loose end. I’d just smile at Kasich, were he to get catty, and say bless your little heart or something like that. There is a way of letting people know they have become irrelevant that isn’t self centered and snotty.
If we’re going to speculate as to Trump’s feelings, I suppose he feels he would prolly rather carry around a black mamba in his suit pocket than even pose again for a photo with Ted Cruz.
Trump is fed up with the BS from the establishment GOP. Cruz and Kasich must make it clear that they are on board with defeating Clinton, or he’s right—tohellwithbothofthem.
Both pledged. in writing, I’m not sure.
The sad thing is, Ted never had to let this battle be in the gutter. A more positive approach might have had him as the presumptive candidate now.
It’s Ted’s responsibility for having let it happen. A big part of it, I believe, was his dominionistic theology. God has handed the world to us Christians on a silver platter. Errrrr... not quite. Not yet.
Yes.
And I'm SURE Trump remembers, too.
The GOP is simply an organization of weasels.
They were terrified of Trump going third party, because they knew he had a message that resonated with the "little people".
You know, the "little people" that the GOP has no use for, and actually despises.
Now that it has blown up in their smug, elitist faces, they want to change the rules to suit themselves.
I think I hate the GOP establishment even more than the democrats.
At least the democrats will kiss you before they screw you.
