Donald Trump wasn't in the mood to mince words Friday at an event in The Woodlands, Texas. Trump said that if some of the clubgoers on that evening in Orlando had guns, someone would have been able to take out the shooter - as discussed here as well.
"If we had people where the bullets were going in the opposite direction, right smack between the eyes of this maniac. If some of those wonderful people had guns strapped right to their waist, or right to their ankle, and this son of a bitch comes out and starts shooting, and one of the people in that room happened to have it, and goes 'boom', you know what that would have been a beautiful, beautiful sight."

Sorry but knowing what goes on in the club scene the idea of drunk partyers carrying is scary. In college we avoided a good gin mill in the Bronx because it was the watering hole of the guys coming off duty from the 53 and 48. Some of these guys would get soused and start waving their off duty iron. Cooler heads would prevail but who wanted to be there if they didn’t. Guns in a club scene would be Chicago Southside.

I’m not quite sure the results would have been better if the 500 people at the gay bar, most of whom had downed eight shots of Jägermeister along with three tabs ecstasy, had all been packing their Glocks.
Well, her campaign trotted out Bill Clinton, to say that there would have been more deaths if people in the club were armed.
Bill said that in the dark and confusion of the nightclub, more people would have been killed if someone was armed and tried to take out the shooter.
