Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday implicitly disagreed with Donald Trump's remarks from a day earlier in which the presumptive GOP nominee repeated his call for a policy banning Muslims from entering the U.S and condemned radical Islam in the wake of the Orlando nightclub attack.
"I think there's a really important distinction that every American needs to keep in mind: This is a war with radical Islam. It's not a war with Islam," Ryan said when asked to react to Trump's terrorism speech on Monday.
Watch: Donald Trump speaks on deadly Orlando shooting "Muslims are our partners," Ryan added. "The vast, vast majority of Muslims in this country and around the world are moderate, they're peaceful, they're tolerant."

Primary is August 9th!
FU Ryan. We need to restrict all immigration for the time being.
To call Pail Ryan and Mitchie traitors would be an insult to real traitors. To call them cowards would not do them justice either. I loathe these people more than Obama.
Ryan is a puppet of the regime.
Even taking that at face value, how would we know the “radical Islam” people?
Donald Trump can’t figure that out yet, though he sounds like he hopes to.
The Koran is a mongrel work of passages of quite contradictory tone, which is how you can get two people who both say they are Muslim and yet one is civilized all his life and the other is a bomb ready to go off.
I’m with Stupid!
Paul Ryan is infected with the PC menace that has blinded so many of the Muslim menace confronting the Western World.
It just makes sense.
The name calling isn’t getting us anywhere; in fact, it emboldens them. Let’s try another tack - laughter. Laugh AT them; it shows disrespect.
Let me be the first: Paul HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Ryan HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH said HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I remember when i thought Ryan had his shit together.
He really is just another worthless political hack.
Worthless son of a bitch.
Your thinking, Congressman, would result in, Muslims are our partners masters - and maybe it already has in Washington.
“Muslims are our partners.”
And Mexican president Pena is their friend.
Primary this twit!
However, I think that in actual practice a stronger security aspect will require a non-religious test. I agree with Trump’s general thinking on this issue but when and if he becomes president I believe that the policy will actually work out as being much stronger security checks for all prospective visitors and a temporary ban on almost all immigration other than that generated by specific job requirement processes.
To balance this, America should try to rescue and take in as many of the persecuted Christian groups in the ISIS-controlled regions.
One problem with banning Muslims per se is that the more dangerous of them will routinely lie and attempt to pose as non-religious or even of other faiths. So to prevent them from entering the more effective test would be background checks as opposed to religious tests alone.
None of this is going to be easy, but large gains will be made in security long-term if the right policies are adopted.
If Trump is elected, I would really like to see a focused review of the security checks that were in place for various Democrat appointments up to and including the main figures of the administration. The various suspicions about ties to the MB and other security questions should not be swept under the rug, this should be actively investigated.
The FBI could not properly vet Omar the terrorist democrat after 10 months of close surveillance and three interviews. How can the State Department properly vet 100,000+ “Syrian refugees” and many more from other third world islamist nations?
Paul Ryan is a fool.
>> “Muslims are our partners,”
Partners of who? They are partners with the globalist traitors who want to make America a third-world nation. People like Ryan.
>>Ryan added. “The vast, vast majority of Muslims in this country and around the world are moderate
Moderate = Lukewarm. In Christianity, this is a lack of faith. So, I agree that most are lukewarm backsliders who go through the motions. But 10% of almost 2 billion is a pretty big group of non-lukewarm true believers to worry about. The lukewarm muzzies just need to become Methodists so they can keep being lukewarm but won’t be connected to killers (except for killers of that last bite of casserole).
As R Lee Emery says “what is his major malfunction”? He’s totally whored himself out to Cheap Labor. So sad to see DC corrupt a man who started out as an idealist who was going to change Washington. I am ashamed of him.
IIRC, Ryan was a Cruz fan and Cruz wanted a ban also....on certain countries...which amounts to the same thing as what Donald is/was proposing.
