Donald Trump took to twitter Wednesday night and with the push of a button, perhaps shed some light on his VP choice -- just as his advisers hoped he wouldn't do.
Just before 10 p.m., Trump retweeted a supporter who said: "@KathyCeurter: @realDonaldTrump please Mr.Trump make @SenatorJeffSessions your VP. He is a perfect running mate.' He is a great guy!"

From what I’ve heard over the past several days, Sessions is nearly a lock.
Considering that Trump re-tweeted that Megyn Kelly is a bimbo, and that Melania is much more attractive than Heidi Cruz, then this must too be true!!!
I think he would make a very solid choice.
This will suck up some of the oxygen for a day or two.
I have no idea who Trump will pick, but I suspect that when he does, it will be someone no one is expecting, and it will be a good choice.
I don’t think there is any search going on. I suspect Trump knows his man already.
I think the choice will catch all of the media off guard.
Rather have Sessions in the Senate than have him occupying a ceremonial position.
TRUMP leaks for a reason. Letting the media do some vetting is part of the process.
As for Fallon, I love Mary Fallon, but come on. We need a VP ready to step in and steer the Hill, as well as the nation, in an emergency.
These are no times for a cute pick to satisfy some goofy contingency or another that thinks we gotta have a “woman” for the sake of appearances.
Sessions is a good man and a sage in the Senate on the issues.
Amen
What happended to no more re-tweets?
I think they’re just being a little more carefully curated.
The problem is there are no more “ceremonial positions”, in these deadly, treacherous times, especially in the top three commands, including the Speaker of the House.
I’ve never voted for a Vice President and considering the odds, won’t start now.
He needs (and wants) a VP that he can trust and knows the legislative process intimately, and I can’t think of any other member of Congress who can better fit that bill.
“From what Ive heard over the past several days, Sessions is nearly a lock.”
I agree. Newt took himself out of the race last week.
Mixed feelings. Sessions would make a very good vice-president. But Trump is also going to need allies in the Senate to make sure things move through in a timely manner and ensure McConnell doesn’t drag his feet.
I can't imagine how they clean up that sewer without Sessions there. How many others aren't traitors?
That being said, Sessions seems to be real good for Trump.
