Hillary Clinton: Government Has ‘A Right’ To Regulate 2nd Amendment

Government has a right to regulate the Second Amendment, Hillary Clinton said in an interview on the June 5 airing of This Week With George Stephanopoulos,

Clinton contended that Americans have historically recognized the government’s “right” to regulate the bearing of arms, suggesting that it was not until District of Columbia v Heller (2008) that anyone thought otherwise.

Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you believe an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right? That it’s not linked to the service in the militia?”

Hey, instead of a drinking game how about let’s have a “run out and buy a firearm game”, or... okay, a box of ammo game, every time this woman (see, I said it the nice way) shoots off her mouth about the 2nd amendment.

I was listening (cause the station was left there by coworker) to an NPR story a few weeks back that was bemoaning the fact that there wasn’t apparently any money or resolve have mountains of 4473s compiled into a computer database. Mind you now these are the 4473s turned in when an FFL either changes record keeping practices or goes out of business, and WHICH ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DESTROYED!

If we think for a minute the government will follow its own laws then we’re in for serious disappointment...

Not going to happen. Remember history has a way of repeating itself, like 1968.

Governments don’t have “rights”.

The question is not “does gummint have thr RIGHT to disarm us”. Does it have the ABILITY. No, or it would have already been done.

Give over your weapons, give over your freedom. It’s really that simple.

Form 4473 still is not a form of gun registration. The Feds cannot simply show up at your door and demand, “You purchased an AR-15 in 1995. Where is it?”

“I sold it years ago” should be an acceptable answer, unless they go lawless, which is not an impossible scenario.

“greed, and the left usually wins.-(In the long run the left has always won what they want.)- Conservatives are disorganized, without leadership and personally both physically and psychologically unable to mount any effective resistance. “

Correct. This is because humans require belief in a higher power. For most of history that was God. Now, the Left works day and night to remove God and replace it with Government. That need for a higher power, like nature, hates a vacuum.

The way they sell government intervention - Heaven on Earth is achievable if you just give them a little more power - is absolutely reminiscent of shady, shyster preachers using God for their own benefits.

Not surprising. Liberals believe that people exist to serve Government, not the other way around.

Every “gun control” law on the books (federal, state,or local) infringes upon the Second Amendment, and is therefore unconstitutional.

People have NO IDEA what they are in for under a Hillary Presidency.

Including myself. I hope by the time September/October rolls around Patriots of America unite, take the streets, go door to door, get people to vote for Trump.

I believe the alternative is an America we do not want and will not recognize. It’s not like the past, things are at a precipice.

My thoughts exactly. Of course you’ll get the old “So you believe you can own a nuclear bomb?” argument from the momunists and their ilk.

Under a strict enterpretation, I would say yes. It says “keep and bear arms”, not what kind.
