The two teenage girls who are being accused of beating an elderly woman so severely that she had to be rushed to a New York City hospital have reportedly been turned in to police.
The New York Daily News reports that police are questioning the two suspects, with the first girl being brought in Friday morning by her mother after she recognized her from surveillance photos released by authorities after the attack.
The second suspect was brought in shortly after.
The young women were traveling together on a subway car Thursday afternoon when 78-year-old Norma Trotman reportedly approached the two and asked one of them if she could take her feet off the seat in order to make room for her to sit down.
Then, when Ms. Trotman got off at one of the next stations stops, the two teenagers allegedly followed her onto the subway platform and began to kick and punch her in her head and face before jumping on an approaching train and making their getaway.

The mother did one thing right. Must be heartbreaking to see your child do something so wrong.

I know some FReepers like NYC, but it is a zoo where all cages have been left open.
It’s definitely not funny in how it seems to be used as racial code for ‘black person/people’.
This happened at 3:15 in the afternoon on a subway platform and there was no one around to stop these girls and help the old lady? Or were they all just videoing the attack?
The tragedy of this story is no one jumped in to help her.
These people are animals. Making light of them can only help bring out the fact that too many people are accepting this and moving on. The thugs will get off with a slap on the wrist. No space in the klink for them.

Watched a documentary on the Amish worldview.
The joke is on us. The Amish knew the dehumanization that the sick, materialistic culture would have on their children and they did the right thing and protected them from the effects of the dehumanization and dependency (removing Common Sense/Real Life understanding of Nature and Human interactions) for being programmed bots (in front of screens to destroy self-reliance/thinking for self (critical thinking) and Virtue formation (practicing controlling real life emotions in a real life scenario—not in artificial systems of “group-think” which embed irrationality and vice.)
