Donald Trump may be the last Republican standing in the 2016 race, but that doesn't mean everyone in his party is happy about it.
At the Washington state Republican convention this weekend, 40 of the state's 41 elected GOP delegates went not to Trump but to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump's primary challenger in the race.
The Seattle Times reports that even Trump's state campaign chairman in Washington, state Sen. Don Benton, didn't snag a delegate slot in the anti-Trump crowd.
Cruz's state campaign manager, Saul Gamoran, said many Washington state Republicans are "taking a wait-and-see attitude" to Trump's candidacy.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump's primary challenger in the GOP race, picked up 40 of 41 delegates at the Washington state GOP convention this weekend.
In theory, Washington Republicans' delegate move will have little effect: despite electing delegates at this state convention, those delegates are bound to vote according to the statewide results in this Tuesday's upcoming Washington primary.

Manipulated heavy DEM state.
Dumb is a four letter word.
MrT5 was the only Republican/conservative from Washington state I ever met, aside from a few Freepers here-I had no idea there were others...
Hope Callfire helps!
We’ll see what the ‘people’ want.
They are not “Cruz” delegates. They are anti-Trump delegates, committed to having Hillary win, rather than any Republican who could derail the gravy train.
They don’t seem to be the brightest bunch on the map.
‘Look at us. We would rather vote for an also-ran than for someone who can win.’
I have TOTALLY had it with these people.
Vichy Republicans.
And to think people are still deceived by the outsider persona Cruz masquerades as.
The GOP insiders will be at least as much a thorn in Trumps side as the RATS. Both have a vested interest in his failure, country be damned.
These are the same people who couldn’t wait to vote for Romney, the founder of obamacare.
Would Cruz delegates rather see Hillary the crook win? I doubt it....however, Cruz is now a spoiler...he should move to back Trump and help America rid herself of Socialists/Marxist like Sanders and Clinton.
This election is about America....will she remain a tattered Republic or will she become Marxist....."Liberty or Death" could be where we are heading.
Have to remember these people want the $15.00 min. wage. Now there are people on the government dole because they cannot find a job, some well educated people are included.
Wait &see? Too many in WA have cozied up to the socialist
belief. Sad.
The Cruz folks stacked the deck at the legislative caucuses. They organized a slate and made sure they would vote for each other to select delegates to the state convention. Mathematically it worked. Most of the legislative caucuses sent Cruz delegates to the state convention this way.
Let me make a correction a huge correction.
At the Washington state Republican convention this weekend, 40 of the state's 41 elected GOP delegates two bit sodomite arseholes went not to Trump but to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump's primary challenger in the race.
Nasty, petty little children, always on the Cruz side.
A good friend of mine is a pubbie delegate here in Washington.
He tells me he has been TOLD in no uncertain terms by party bigwigs that he WILL vote for Cruz.
So he thinks he’s part of the problem if he goes along. Not sure exactly where his allegiance lies, he’s very upset that it sounds like the voice is gonna be of the party, not of the people.
