Tenn. Senator Labeled A Top Trump VP Pick Meets With Trump Monday

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., was labeled by Charles Krauthammer on Friday as the pundit’s leading pick to be the running mate of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The Washington Post, citing unnamed sources, said Corker will be meeting Monday with Trump at Trump Tower in New York City

Krauthammer used a hypothetical pot of $100 in casino chips to make his point, putting $25 on Corker, $20 on former Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., $20 on Ohio Gov. John Kasich, $10 on former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and $5 on Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint. The rest went to “the field,” Krauthammer said, acknowledging, “I have no idea.”

Corker has “a bit of gravitas” and “spoke well” of Trump’s late April major foreign policy address, Krauthammer said.

Corker is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Neither his office nor the Trump campaign would comment for the record about Corker’s chances of being Trump’s running mate.

Gilmore is the most likely choice I’ve seen. Virginia is occupied Dem territory and Trump could use help there.

I don’t know about his business activities, but given Trump’s criticism of the Iran Deal, I would be surprised if he would want Corker, the moron who gave us the “Corker Bill” which helped Iran and Obama...according to National Review, it “guaranteed passage in Congress” :(

Unfortunately, he’s my senator who got elected because two egotistical conservatives, otherwise good guys, split the conservative primary vote and allowed him to bwin. Of all the VP choices I know of, he’s THE WORST.

Marsha Blackburn. You heard it here first. Not just now, I mean from me, quite awhile ago.

The reason I say this is number ONE, Trump MUST choose a woman. If he doesn’t, it will be his biggest mistake so far.

Not that it will solve his “women” problem, but anything he can do just to “improve” it, might be the difference between winning and losing.

According to VoteMatch Marsha is a “Hard-Core Conservative”. Another important issue to unify the party and bring on board more conservatives.
