Dr. Ben Carson confirmed five people on presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trumps list of potential vice presidential running mates in a recent interview.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 VP running mate to John McCain, was one of the five Carson said was on the list. The rest are all former 2016 GOP presidential candidates: Trumps closest competitor Sen. Ted Cruz, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Sen. Marco Rubio, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. (Read more at source)

“I certainly hope that is not really the list.”
First thing I thought. Yikes. Not a one I think would be great.
If that’s the list, I guess I’d go with Christie because he’s a fighter. He’d have to be schooled about some of his opinions. First one - no hugs for Dems.
Trump wants this stuff out there to play the media.
I doubt it will be any of there names.
Other than Ohio, Kasich adds nothing, I’m afraid.
Kasuck makes NO sense at all...He is diametrically opposed to Trump regarding illegals and trade.
“Rubio is okay”
Rubio is NOT okay. He’s an open borders traitor, and was the very face of the Gang of Eight. He should have been hounded out of office in 2013.
I hate to agree, because Palin was up here in Canada and I almost paid $800 to go and hear her. Lately, the speeches I’ve heard have verged on incoherent, and she sounds too much like she’s going for laughs....like it’s a stand-up routine.
To be fair, I think I compare all women to Lady Thatcher, and nobody lives up to that.
Appoint Sarah Palin as Secretary of the Interior. Place the EPA under the Dept. of the Interior.
Tell Sarah, “Castrate the EPA, then sell off the parts to the States - cash sales only - to be directly applied to the National Debt”.
Truly essential functions of the EPA can be handled by the Dept. of Interior.
This is just to keep Trump in the news.
He plays the media like a fiddle.
I like Carson also. These names may have been in contention at some point but I also don’t think it is the current list. Trump does get to show his support for them, though, which is also important.
This is how you build a unified party. Each of these folks have very passionate supporters....but their appeal is narrow. This includes Carson. You float a list to Ben, and tell him he can float a few names to the press. The supporters of X begin to soften to Trump.
The only downside risk is if some of the folks listed play the @$$hole, or Carson tells enough tall tales that his biggest asset, absolute honesty, gets shot to hell. Trump is very fortunate to have Ben as a spokesperson.
My mother (84) and my son in college (20) have only come around for Trump due to the support he gets from Carson. It is interesting to watch.
Those are the ones Ben Carson list of 5. I think Trump has another list going somewhere.
I’d rather Sarah stay in her internet commentary mode and appearances. That’s it.
No full-term Governors. Sarah would be okay.
Agree with you. Last week they railed about the tape recording and his mistreatment of women. This will give them all something to rant about all this week. Wonder what he has in store for the weeks ahead. Should be fun. Hide and watch.
None of the above.
This was done cause Trump is sick of being asked.
He’s already said his VP will be revealed at the convention, and not before.
I think Sarah Palin’s name is purposely being mentioned because they know it will drive the left nuts.
some polite alternative suggestions:
Chris Christie John Kasich Marco Rubio Sarah Palin Ted Cruz
Let the brickbats fly!
Carly Fiorina Jeff Sessions Joni Ernst Mike Pence

> Thats not happening. False list, I hope the media goes wild.
I think you’re onto something.
