Ted Cruz on Tuesday floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he wins Nebraskas GOP primary Tuesday.
Cruz, who ended his White House run last week, said he does not expect that to happen, but hes leaving the door open.
"We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," he said Tuesday on Glenn Beck's radio program.
"If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly."

The delegates are awarded in winner-take-all fashion with the candidate with the most votes statewide winning all 36 delegates. There have been no early polls taken in Nebraska but this will likely change in the coming days.
PredictWise aggregates the betting markets to project primary winners. They give Donald Trump a 71 percent chance of winning the state while Ted Cruz has just a 29 percent chance of pulling off the upset.
FiveThirtyEight is more bullish on Cruzs chances. Citing his Kansas victory of 24 percentage points, FiveThirtyEight believes Cruz has a good chance of doing well in Nebraska given his previous success in similar parts of the country.
Seriously doubt Cruz runs for re-election. As we all realized, after the fact, was that with only 4% of the Republican vote in run off, his Senate seat proved to be of no real interest to this climber, but for simply a launching stage for the presidency.
4% of the Republican vote, in one state run off, and he thought he should be president! Astounding.
Cruz is virtually unknown, outside of his obsessive compulsion for political climbing for power.
He is Hillary Clinton redux.
We keep hoping Cruz is not a loon and he keeps trying to show us he is.
Whatever.
“Ted Cruz on Tuesday floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign...”
Brings to mind the “black knight” scene in the Monte Python movie.
Very nice analogy.
Lol!
I heard this interview even though I don’t normally listen to Beck because it was in last 10 min before Rush when I tuned in.
Beck and his people were pushing this not Cruz. Finally Cruz says the money quote being bandied about, which was, “If I had a path to win, I’d get back in.”
He also said, “It’s not gonna happen, that’s why I got out.”
Honestly. I think he only said it to yank some chains.
And look. Barking dogs everywhere.
FWIW, he also said a third party is a no go and there’s plenty of time between now and the convention to endorse, there’s no hurry. (To me, this suggests he’ll hold out for a prime convention spot).
I see it as Cruz having to do what his donors tell him to do. They are in panic mode.
Another Becker?
I do not think anyone here hates Cruz supporters, indeed a lot of folks here were Cruz supporters or at least Trump/Cruz supporters.
I do not see anything wrong with Cruz saying that if the tide were to suddenly turn he would get back in the game.
That said assuming Trump does not crash and burn and once June 7th comes and goes, it Trump has the 1237+ delegates Cruz had better come around and endorse Trump.
I say that as that is his only way to keep himself as a viable candidate for higher office in the years to come. He is a young man, 45 and he can run again in 4, 8, 12 or even 16 years (he would be 61 in 16 years, still reasonable age for president).
If he does not endorse Trump, as he said he would and he figures he will withhold a percentage of his 30% of the republican voters and lead trump to defeat.... well the 70 percent that have come to support Trump will never forget. Cruz will have no future in any party if he pulls that crap of subtly encouraging his supporters to stand down.
Yea see it is like this: Trump needs to win to prevent Hillary form solidifying the left gains of Obama. This is not an election cycle that is at all favorable to social conservatives: understand their concerns but if Hillary gets in . get 2 to 3 supreme court justices, legalizes 20~25 million illegals, etc, there is no possibility of Cruz getting elected in 4 years anyway if Hillary wins. Further I and a lot of folks in the middle will remember treachery by the party and any individual member of the elite....In Cruz’s case it will be clear he put his own interests above everything else, so if he does not live up to his promise...To hell with him for all future elections.
So for Cruz’s best interests he had better get on board the trump train, there is no other alternative for him, assuming trump makes the 1237 come June 7th. Until then, if he does not actively aid the democrats, I think waiting to see if trump crashes is fair enough.
Also if he endorses, I hope to see his in some role within this administration.
I don’t mind people voting for him for sentimental reasons but for Ted to play it anything more than that is disgusting.
NO SCOTUS for Cruz. NO Federal judgeships.
He can chase ambulances for a living. SCRUZ!
I thought that primary was on May 24th?
A pox on your house Ted Cruz. You are a kin weasel who has no honor
My husband and I are voting for him in Nebraska today. I see some people wont vote Cruz because hes creepy. I feel the same about trump.
“This is history in the making. There is a real and very large group of people who cannot be ignored and will not vote for Trump. There is a growing movement to write in Cruz as an alternative.”
We will just call them Cruz-O-Crats for short.
History in the making, my ass.
aren’t you special
HUH Why would you still vote for him ?
My husband and I are voting for him in Nebraska today. I see some people wont vote Cruz because hes creepy. I feel the same about trump.
Donald J. Trump is not campaigning for Hillary Clinton. “Principled Conservative” Ted Cruz is. If that isn’t “creepy” nothing is.
