Still shaken by Donald Trump's triumph, Republican and conservative foes of the billionaire can still cause headaches for the party's presumptive presidential nominee at this summer's GOP convention. But their options are shrinking by the day.

Instead, anti-Trump forces are trying to figure out how to use the GOP meetings in July to keep him from reshaping the party and its guiding principles, perhaps with fights over the platform or even his vice presidential pick.

The Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts
A GREAT conflict was about to come off between the Birds and the Beasts. When the two armies were collected together the Bat hesitated which to join. The Birds that passed his perch said: Come with us; but he said: I am a Beast. Later on, some Beasts who were passing underneath him looked up and said: Come with us; but he said: I am a Bird. Luckily at the last moment peace was made, and no battle took place, so the Bat came to the Birds and wished to join in the rejoicings, but they all turned against him and he had to fly away. He then went to the Beasts, but soon had to beat a retreat, or else they would have torn him to pieces. Ah, said the Bat, I see now,
HE THAT IS NEITHER ONE THING NOR THE OTHER HAS NO FRIENDS.

The people have voted against the GOP platform on issues like free trade and NATO.
If GOP delegates that were picked not based on the will of the people go against the people’s wishes, there will be no point to stay in the GOP or vote down ballot for GOP candidates.
It will be interesting to see what Trump does at the convention. I’ve seen them all since 1984, this should be real different in prime time.

I love the smell of quisling fear in the morning!
Very cogent point. TRUTH.
Well stated. I think that is one reason why (aside from piling up delegates so he can overcome delegate fraud) he has continued to go to the primary events which had been previously planned.
He NEEDS to see all of us and to be strengthened by the real peoples’ support. He knows he is entering the snake pit, and our cheering him are very much required for him to be fit for the fight. Seeing him also makes a difference to the individual who is there. Having been to an event myself, I can truly say that it is electric, and unforgettable... for both the audience AND for him.
LOL!
They dug their own graves long ago.
Rove and Co. have been allowing obama to destroy America, thinking it will guarantee the RINO’s power for at least the next four years.
But they didn’t count on the real Sleeping Giant waking up. Sorry, Karl, you figured wrong.

In some cases, Trump is the ONLY one willing to stick by the republican platform!
This for instance.....
“ That is why we oppose any form of amnesty for those who intentionally violate the law. Granting amnesty only rewards and encourages more law breaking.”http://www.ontheissues.org/Celeb/Republican_Party_Immigration.htm
LOL! I suspect he has seen the same movies we have, and no doubt had actual ones try to muscle in on his construction jobs. He has proven he knows how to FIGHT!
