Trump slams Ryan: I didn’t inherit GOP, I won it

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on Friday continued to criticize Rep. Paul Ryan, denying the Speaker’s assertion that he “inherited” the Republican Party mantle.

“Paul Ryan said that I inherited something very special, the Republican Party,” Trump tweeted. “Wrong, I didn't inherit it, I won it with millions of voters!”

Ryan on Thursday declared that he’s “not ready” to support Trump for president.

“He also inherits something very special, that's very special to a lot of us. This is the party of Lincoln and Reagan and Jack Kemp,” Ryan said at the time.

Trump responded Thursday with a terse statement: “I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan's agenda. Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people. They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first!”

>>Paul Ryan has picked a fight with the wrong guy. He might as well put his house up for sale.<<

I wonder if the Trump company buys single-family homes... ;)

Trump would be smart to ignore Ryan and focus on Hillary. He’s not going to persuade every Republican no matter what he says or does so why bother?

Ryan also said this: “ I’d love to see our standard-bearer celebrate the principles of our party, apply them to the problems. appeal to all Americans and run a principled, solutions-based campaign that we can all be proud of.” Those principles, he said, included support for the Constitution, limited government, and the “right role” for a president.”

Think about that. This hypocritical prick is lecturing Trump about sticking to “conservative” principles, when he circumvented the limited republican opposition to the budget and teamed up with democrats to pass a bill that significantly expanded government and fully funded Obama’s leftist and illegal agenda. It’s mind blowing how dumb they think we are. Trump won because these Ryanos failed to stick to conservative principles and secure our borders. Trump should be giving him a lecture, the hypocritical prick.

He's making an example of Ryan and Graham to put a little fear of Trump into the other GOPe slugs and whip them into line.

No mercy.

Usually we put up with a nominee working things out among politicians.

This is going to freak them out.

Trump is making a deal. They think its with them.

No. It’s with his supporters. The voters. That s where political power comes from. Unless there’s corruption

Trump owes only to his supporters. Certainly not his detractors.

His supporters owe no one anything. Least of all the GOPe

“Conservatism” has become nothing more than a litmus test word, in the same manner invoking “Reagan” is.

They think, if they can say it and claim it, voters will flock to them, because those voters have in previous elections.

Once they cross the Potomac to take their seats, they forget all about The Constitution, limited government, etc.

Case in point: The biggest budget in history that gave Obama everything he wanted was passed just months ago under Ryan and then McConnell. That principal was ‘fold and capitulate’, Mr. Speaker.

Great idea. Trump could use your advice. Have you considered applying for a position on his staff?

Nailed it. They are very afraid of what will be found if an outsider who can't be bought dares to invade their personal kingdom inside the Beltway.

Paul Ryan has picked a fight with the wrong guy. He might as well put his house up for sale.

Let him take the Fifth: "... nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."
