Cruz Vows to Go the Distance Ahead of Crucial Indiana Primary
With a pivotal vote in Indiana this week, Ted Cruz is vowing to "go the distance," whatever the outcome of Tuesday's primary.
"It is an incredibly important state," Cruz said of Indiana on ABC's "This Week." "We are competing hard. I hope we do well here. I can tell you I'm barnstorming the state, we're in a bus with my family, we're doing everything we can to earn the votes of the men and women in this state. We're going the distance. We're competing the entire distance.
Cruz, trailing his main rival Donald Trump by 431 delegates, enters this week after two weeks of losses to Trump in six states. When pressed by ABC News Martha Raddatz about whether Indiana is a must win, Cruz would not say. While it is mathematically impossible for Cruz to clinch the 1237 delegates needed to secure the nomination before the Republican convention in July, Cruz says Trump won't get there either.

You are right, I have determined in my mind that Trump has clinched the nomination. As for what happens in Cleveland and the general, we’ll see. Hope neither of us are disappointed. :)
Rocky went the distance. I knew Rocky. You sir, are no Rocky.
I have known who doanld trump is for long before he stepped into the political limelight. Back when he still owned the boat, back when he tried to hire the attorney from the lady fighting the Kelo case, trying to keep her house. He’s been around a while. He just took the marketing techniques he used elsewhere with casinos and hotels and golf courses and amped them up to promote himself on a different stage. He has always been about self-promotion.
Cruz, however, had a long history of defending the US Constitution, even before the Supreme Court, and far more often than the vast majority of those in the Senate or elsewhere in DC got it right. That, on its own merit, was enough to win my support. Original Intent goes a long way with me. I didn't need to project any image on that, just take someone who was right most of the time for the right reasons.
I bet Cruz couldn’t beat up Mike Tyson, either. He isn’t running for Football Team Captain or heavyweight Champion of the World. He is running for President of the United States of America. You wouldn’t use a sledgehammer for a pipe wrench, either.
Wait for it....
If you revile Cruz more than LBJ or Clinton, you are part of the problem.
>>I followed Cruz in the Senate...
>>Cruz, however, had a long history of defending the US Constitution
He’s been in the Senate for 3 years, 2 of which he has been running for president. But, you see something you like in him. I did too in the early days of this long primary season. He was my first and only choice in the beginning.
But, defending the Constitution isn’t worth squat if the country is overrun with Mexicans and Muslims who are dedicated to destroying our way of life and replacing it with something that values the US Constitution less than Hillary Clinton does.
Well cheer up Felito has officially picked up his entire campaign staff and fled Indiana after the new poll showing Trump up by 22pts. He’s on to victory in California where Trump is only up 18 pts. LOL!
“Wait for it....”
Been waiting for it. For ten long months. Y’all keep saying he’s gonna go supernova, but so far, bupkis.
I’m losing faith in your predictive abilities.
Tedtanic! I love it.
Reminds me ... of ... Stevie ... ... in Malcolm... in the ... Middle....
For a smart guy, Ted doesnt do well at long term thinking.
“Lost in America” is a waaaay underrated film. Albert Brooks (also the co-writer) was great as was Julie Haggerty.
I have been a Ted Cruz supporter but have been urging him to end his campaign since he cannot make the nomination and to try and force a fight at the convention will only split the party and give the presidency to the dems.
I am praying for a Trump win in Indiana so this can end...the GOP (without the e) needs it to end so we can unite behind Trump now and win the Presidency.

The Cruz organization has rapidly degenerated into nothing better than the Hillary organization.
Cruz has already gone the distance. He can no longer win. He needs to get out but he’s an obstructionist and when he loses he just wants to create chaos like he does in the Senate.
Has he really left Indiana?
So he’ll be interviewed from CA tomorrow night when he graciously commends The Donald on his triumphant and historic win?
California Dreamin’ for Turd.
The 2nd term of Presidents is largely a waste of time.
Yeh now Felito says the real fight is CA. What a luzer!
