I followed Cruz in the Senate, before anyone tried to compare him to Reagan. Reagan was unique, in that he had the training as a Hollywood Star to rub elbows with royalty and know the role. You won't see another like him in a long time, if ever.

Cruz, however, had a long history of defending the US Constitution, even before the Supreme Court, and far more often than the vast majority of those in the Senate or elsewhere in DC got it right. That, on its own merit, was enough to win my support. Original Intent goes a long way with me. I didn't need to project any image on that, just take someone who was right most of the time for the right reasons.

He’s been in the Senate for 3 years, 2 of which he has been running for president. But, you see something you like in him. I did too in the early days of this long primary season. He was my first and only choice in the beginning.

But, defending the Constitution isn’t worth squat if the country is overrun with Mexicans and Muslims who are dedicated to destroying our way of life and replacing it with something that values the US Constitution less than Hillary Clinton does.
