Donald Trump won the Arizona Republican primary with 47% of the vote to second place Ted Cruz with 25%.
But that didnt stop the Cruz campaign and GOP elites from coming in and poaching all of the delegates at todays state convention. The Cruz camp and GOP elites call this a good ground game.
Even former Governor Jan Brewer, an outspoken Trump supporter, had her name removed from the online ballot and did not make the cut.

Ted Cruz: “I am the king of voterless states” And, now, delegates!
Rush is still talking but I stopped listening. Seriously, I put on the radio instinctively, listen for the first few minutes, shout out some expletive at him over something he just said and then switch the station.
Furthermore, if this is not allowed by the “rules,” then there is an ethics issue. Maybe ethics means nothing to some people.

Ethics my @ss! This is FRAUD!
Yes, of course. But I’m focused on the big picture. Trump will have the 1237 before the convention. This delegate “poaching” will only bolster Trump’s support at a national level.
You actually said this. Populist crowd? Do you mean 'voters'? Or does your 'ensure committed delegates at assembly' really mean 'insider guild control' to keep the power centralized among the 'special'? BTW, you know what a guild is.....it's the early predecessor to unions. I'm sure we all get warm fuzzies with that.
It is a good ground game.
It’s also fundamentally dishonest, given that the clear intent of the Cruz campaign and its GOPe puppet masters is to cheat Trump out of an honestly-earned majority of delegates.
That sounds about right.
he screammes he got cheaTED.
You mean like when Trump got 40 or 50% of the vote in some states but 100% of the delegates? Gee whiz, that must be cheating. /s
The GOP Establishment is demonstrating that it will engage in ballot fraud to stop Trump. It will not be limited to just delegate allocation. They will try to cheat with primary balloting too.
Trump needs to gear up for a long fight to the end. He needs to arrive with over 1400 delegates to forestall games, and he needs to be prepared for the GOPE to work hand-in-hand with the Dems towards Trump's defeat in November.
Lying Ted , i used to like this him. I hate him with more passion then any current sitting senator
It was such a mess. They couldn’t even get lunch tickets distributed properly.
Not illegal but sleazy as hell and shows his real character, he has no chance of winning so he resorts to backroom deals just like a typical politician
Even if Trump gets 1237 he still might not be the nominee. He is going to need 1300+ going in.
I actually was very much for him until the end of 2015. I just had an epiphany as I described it then based on a plethora of factors. It really depressed me for a while that I could have been so stupid.
If this is allowed by the "rules", they still have an ethics problem. This election has exposed the GOP as being just as sinister as the Democrats. To think most of us have been blind to these goings on all these years. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the whole process.
Go away Cruzers, you all are willing to ignore the wishes of the people
“It was such a mess. They couldnt even get lunch tickets distributed properly.”
Are you aware of any nominees who did not appear on the ballot other than Governor Jan Brewer?
It was a shocker when staunch Cruzer Texan Rick Perry turned tail and is now talking up Trump.
