Which begs the question: Who is he going to pick as his vice presidential nominee?
The short answer: No one knows. Trump relishes being unpredictable so trying to game out how this most unconventional of politicians will make his mind up is a bit of a guessing game. Add to that the fact that Trump's inner circle remains, largely, devoid of establishment types and you quickly get into a situation where the people talking don't know much and the people who do know aren't talking.

Ciliza...you’re tilting at windmills.
Christie has zero chance
Ernst...I doubt it
Kaisich..no chance
Rubio....no chance.
Christie would make some sense, if Killerr were to select Andrew Cuomo, who I have as the odds on favorite. He hates guns, is queer friendly, and a barking moonbat leftist.
She will need his help if she expects to win in NY.
Look for someone who you wouldn’t expect. It may be a politician, but I doubt it. Another CEO type, maybe ex-military. An Allan West or similar perhaps.
Don’t be surprised if it’s Rand Paul. He bowed out early for no good reason. I suspect Trump went to him and offered the VP slot.
Why not just add Bernie, at least he admits he’s a socialist. All 5 of the suggested picks won’t even admit their liberal leanings to even themselves.
Thanks for posting what I think.
Rick Scott.
LOL...
As a Floridian Rick Scott has been a pretty good Governor...BUT!!!
The man has ZERO personality, poor communication skills, speaks like a robot, plus he has a huge amount of baggage being a former CEO from a healthcare company the dems will try and excoriate him and Trump over....
The author of the article must be smoking some serious weed...
Carson is who I’m hoping he picks
Washington Post trying to help Trump again, please do the opposite
I can’t see that happening:
“Martinez was in the El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe when police were called at 1:30am on December 13, 2015, concerning a noisy party. Governor Martinez was there with her family and staff. After police arrived, Governor Martinez repeatedly inquired about who made the complaint and told the police dispatcher that officers that were sent were not needed. But Martinez clearly showed signs of being drunk on the phone and in person to the Santa Fe Police.[72][73] Nine days later, a recording was brought forward by the police department which featured Martinez stating she knew that there was a person in the hotel causing a disturbance, divergent somewhat from her official statement.[74][75]”

What about his golfing buddy, John Boehner? lol
Here are the five, my letter grade for each as a VEEP and my opinion:
Marco Rubio: “C” Marco is liked but not loved in Florida. He could give some kick to the ticket, but his bonafides with the Tea Party have been somewhat hurt. Marco is a first term Senator...and now a one-term Senator. On the “plus” side, he is young. If Trump/Rubio won 2 two terms, Rubio would be ready to govern.
John Kasich: “D” John is really a guy who posed as a conservative and turned RINO liberal. Trump already has the “moderate” vote locked up. He doesn’t need Kasich.
On the plus side, Kasich does know the “ins and outs” of the legislative labyrinth. So he could help with the sausage making. But Trump can get the help somewhere else.
Joni Ernst: “B+” Even most folks who like Trump acknowledge he may have trouble getting the woman vote. Joni would be a great asset in that respect. She is, on the other hand, a first term senator. And that isn’t good. A better choice: Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee. She has a 95 rating from American Conservative Union and 13 years of service.
Rick Scott: “C-” I like Rick Scott as the governor of Florida. He has really gotten a bad rap from the media but he has helped turn our economy around. The same month Moody’s DOWNGRADED the Obama government, Rick Scott’s Florida was UPGRADED. The problem: Rick is really not photogenic and not swift on his feet. Trump is uniquely media savvy and business tycoon. Rick is more business...and not much media. Not a good choice.
Chris Christie: “D” The worst choice of the five. He can’t deliver Jersey, he turns off social conservatives, he just can’t do it. The stare he gave Trump in Palm Beach is fodder for mirth. Don’t choose Christie, Donald.
Ben Carson or Newt, but I doubt Newt would go for it..............
I don’t like anyone on that list.
I look forward to Trump’s REAL LIST.
~~Go Trump, GO!~~ ~~Go Trump, GO!~~ ~~Go Trump, GO!~~
I’d like to see him pick a good General for VP. I’d like John Bolton too.
Several others would be good as well, but my mind is elsewhere right now.
“I would like Newt or Huckabee. They would great toward beating Hillary and making real change!”
Both have sell-by dates from a decade ago. Newt couldn’t win an election in his old Congressional district.
Ben Carson fits these requirements, plus neuters most of the "Trump is a bigot" and "Republicans are all white men" arguments.
I'm open to others, just no more pro politicians, let it begin now, followed by term limits. Clean out the den of snakes. CITIZEN-SERVANTS, as envisioned by the Founders---they go home after they serve, they don't profit from their service.
Pat Buchanan - bring some age and maturity to the ticket.
Bay Buchanan - bring some youth to the ticket. She’s also pick up Cruz’s Canadian supporters since she went to McGill.
And there’s the left spouting off, trying to define the narrative.
Not going to happen.
There is a new sheriff in town, and he is here to kick ass and take names. And he forgot to bring his pen.
Find a retired WARRIOR SOLDIER.
Task him with rebuilding the military and helping Veterans.
Trump needs to pick a current or former conservative congressman...
Bottom line he needs to have a confidante who knows the ropes in DC to help him implement his people's agenda ...
He has already proven the mechanics of politics does not interest him, (the delegate rules)...
