WASHINGTON (AP) The Latest on campaign 2016 (all times Eastern):

Donald Trump says he believes transgender people should be able to use whichever bathroom they choose.
Speaking at a town hall event on NBC's "Today" Thursday, Trump said North Carolina's so-called "bathroom law," which directs transgender people to use the bathroom that matches the gender on their birth certificates, has caused unnecessary strife.

I will admit to using a men’s room once, at a concert (the women’s room was a mile long) but I called in first to give a warning and another woman stood outside keeping watch.
“I thought he was the guy who was going to stand up against PC?”
Donald only plays a conservative for the idiot masses.
I would feel bad for his victims, er I mean “voters,” but their stupidity is going to screw America.
Sorry you slimy Cruzbots, but this title does not match what Trump stated in the interview with Lauer.

Cruzbots are pigs!
Transgender people need to realize that they are male or female as God created them.
I have seen some things at football games relating to (drunk) women using the men’s room that I cannot un-see.
“That fact that we are going to have to choose between Clinton and Trump for president shows just how far into the sewer this country has fallen. What a shame. This used to be such a great country.”
Umm can I say that too??? YEP!!!
That fact that we are going to have to choose between Clinton and Trump for president shows just how far into the sewer this country has fallen. What a shame. This used to be such a great country.
“I can no longer support Trump. I have posted some very anti Cruz posts in the past and dont trust him. But Trump has forced my hand. A man who would let another man in the bathroom with a little girl has no business being in charge of this country.”
Thank you.
Give me a Passover gift and tell me it’s not too late for you to vote accordingly.
Exactly, with these gay mafia laws, I as a man can walk in the women’s restroom wearing my normal clothes and stand there and leer at the women if I want and I cannot be arrested. Is there a law against leering? Nope. At most AI could be accused of loitering if I stay too long.
It gives bad men access without any risk because they cannot be questioned!
Watch the video, the headlines are BS and don’t match the story!
Don't try to equate a questionable headline with the core issue that everyone really cares about, which is men using women's facilities.
Well, if you could mentally regress one year and recall who at least tried to stand up to McConnell and Boehner and who has made himself available to govern based on conservative, constitutional principles, then your outlook might change.
Of course, I realize purging the "Cruz is Satan" files is going to be nigh impossible. But, there's no shame in trying.
No, but allowing grown men into the ladies bathroom ensure that men will be allowed into lady locker rooms, and dressing rooms and all sorts of other perversions. There are a lot of sick people out there who will use this as an excuse to pursue their perversion and there is no consequence for them doing so. You're defending this. What major mental malfunction is required to defend such behavior on a conservative form?
He's going to get run over by Hillary. When Liberals have to choose between two Liberals they always go Dem.

Sorry, it’s a bull sh*t headline that doesn’t match what Trump said and you know it!
True, but the topic Trump was asked about involved transgenders.
“No, and that’s not the point. The BC just establishes the legal basis for prosecution if the cops answer a complain from a citizen about a man in the women’s room.
Absent the BC law, a hairy chested hetero pervert can walk into a women’s room,
“
Well see here is the problem that the NC law never addressed.
That not all of these people are “hairy chested “. Some are not obvious at all. Too many people on our side put up this image, legit as it is, and then act stunned when the other side brings out people that don’t remotely look like that. Now we look like we aren’t even smart enough to craft a bill to deal with a real danger.
And we end up looking like idiots because now we have to explain how are we going to police a law that is so broad that some butch female or some skinny dude with long hair can be detained while we check birth certificates.
So in the end the issue is lost, and the pervs have open access.
“The BC law gives the women the right to complain, and the cops will have the knowledge that the obvious guy they’re arresting “
So what if it’s a girl with short hair? A lanky guy with long hair?
So now that person sues the store, the person that complains, the city and the state, and the law gets tossed.
“But congrats for adopting so readily the left’s ridiculous strawman”
Is it a straw man, or is it just someone thinking it through and seeing how badly executed this law was, leaving things in a worse predicament now that NC ditched their own bill.
>> There’s a poster leasing an effort to repeat that [Giuliani purge] now. mk someone...
I’m guessing “mkjessup”.
I remember those times. Giuliani was not my guy (I liked Perry and “settled for” Gingrich until we got Romney shoved down our throats). I think the purges are juvenile and counterproductive, but I don’t own or operate the forum.
However my conscience would not let me support Giuliani, so for me it was moot.
Fast forward four years. Ted Cruz is the only POTUS candidate since Reagan that my conservative Christian conscience leads me to be “all in” on. I have watched in fascinated horror as “the Boss” went from “all in”... to “they’re both OK”... to “trump is going to win so abandon Cruz”... to actually leading the mob in slandering and maligning one of the few true Christian conservative leaders available today.
It is often said, and rightly so, that “if I am accused of being a Christian, may there be enough evidence to convict me”.
Since I returned from a 40 day hiatus from FR — which I gave up that I might better focus on CHRIST and His sacrifice on our behalf during Lent — I have worked hard to purge my comments here of ad hominem and other evils. But I will remain “all in” for Ted Cruz until the end, or until I am “purged”, whichever comes first.
If I am accused of being a staunch supporter of Ted Cruz and his conservative Christian principles, may there be enough evidence to convict me.

Well, Bye!
Name one single piece of legislation Cruz submitted to address this problem.
Just one.
Ted talks a real good game. And that’s pretty much it.
He failed his job interview.
He, by his actions, left it as it is.
Total disintegration right before our eyes.
