How bad was Cruzs night? Hes losing to Ben Carson in some places a guy who hasnt been in the race in weeks.
Cruz can still win the nomination on the first convention ballot, mind you, but he needs to win about 88.5 percent of the outstanding delegates, bound or unbound, per Daniel Nichanians excellent calculations. That's not likely to happen either.
Trump isnt the only big winner tonight! Congratulations to John Kasich, who will almost certainly end up with his first delegate in more than a month. Can Kasich pull off a come-from-behind victory? No. The end.

Until Trump gets to 1237 Cruz is not eliminated
Give him British Columbia and Alberta too ! Who cares !
Wisconsin and Iowa are swing states that Cruz won in the primary.
And six hundred thousand people died. Not good.
14% Ted is eliminated and needs to do the right thing for the Conservative movement. He has no chance except stealing it and that would destroy the Country.
Do you have a Saint Cruz statue on your dash?
Pray America wakes
“With what we got on our plate, the only option is a Trump/Cruz 2016 ticket.”
Not likely.
It could happen with “Little Marco” - after all, that’s just a comment on his height, not his integrity (or lack thereof). But how could Trump POSSIBLY justify naming someone as a running mate that he’s been calling a liar for months? What’s he say: “I was wrong and he’s really not a liar?” “He’s promised never to lie again?” - there’s no way out of that one.
Lincoln also played some games to get states allowed into the Union to get his Emancipation bill passed. He was not a great President.
xxx facts you're not including in your analysis
Neither Cruz nor Kasich would stand a chance in NY against Hillary.
Forgot to change the xxx to 3. Oops.
“Trump will not win New York in the general election. You folks need to quit kidding yourselves. Look at the total primary voting for the two parties.”
_______________________________________
Hillary is being given delegates she didn’t win with votes. When Sanders is eliminated, many of his disenfranchised supporters are going to support Trump.
I guess this is the new Cruz supporter narrative. Now that Trump’s beaten Cruz, he’s going to lose to Hillary.
Yawn.
“If that second bullet never comes, Cruz has done no harm.”
Nonsense. Cruz should drop out TODAY, since he no longer has a chance of winning it straight up. If he did, this would be OVER.
By staying in, unless Trump can somehow hit the magic number, Cruz insures a contested convention and will attempt to deny the actual voters their choice. That’s not what I call doing no harm.
I thought they were the best at the time?
New York is full of liberals and the population was right at home voting for a liberal candidate.
***
But for the fact that Trump swept the south and the vast majority of red states too.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
All the way from Mass?
Who was the last Republican presidential nominee who won New York?
Who was the last Republican presidential nominee who did not win a single county in OH, FL and VA primaries?
And root for another RINO who is already mathematically eliminated in the vain (vanity) chance that we can deny the nomination to the clear leader; a man NOT beholden to special interests, who has already shown the possibility of significant crossover votes.
In favor of someone who is mocked even on conservative sites as a televangelist, and who has NO crossover appeal.
Thereby destroying the GOP as a national party AND handing the election to Hillary.
Looking forward to your well-deserved ZOT.
Scorched earth and a lost Supreme Court.
It's obvious that Cruz has never played team sports, nad isn't enough of a patriot to consider what his blind obstinance is risking.
Why doesn't Cruz love his country, the conservatives or the Constitution as much as himself?
"...that we here highly resolve that these hacks shall not have voted in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of sycophants, and that government of the people, by the party hacks, for the party hacks, shall not perish from the earth."
I am a CRUZ fan that will vote for Trump if he gets the nomination of the Republican Party. My wife on the other hand is a Conservative Voter that is not ready to vote for either CRUZ or Trump...she may write in Mickey Mouse for President of the United States! She has great concern for our nation but has not yet found a candidate worthy of her vote.

Then she is supporting, in this case, Hillary and here’s why.
Not voting skews the race toward Hillary because the winner is based on percentage not some designated total number of votes . And in effect is showing support for Hillary.
Explain to her not voting effects the outcome just as much as voting, voting against the lesser of 2 evils is better than not voting.
How does skipping the vote, soothe anybodies conscience?
After initially supporting Ted, I now absolutely despise him, but will vote for him, for one reason, to stop Hillary. This ain’t dancing with the stars, the outcome effects me and my family personally.
Hillary = evil. Any R = Who knows what they’ll do? But I’ll take the risk.
