The impassioned election-year debate over President Obamas immigration executive actions lands Monday before a short-handed Supreme Court, where justices will consider a fundamental question: how much power does the president truly have?
The justices plan to hold 90 minutes of oral arguments dealing with Obamas bid to spare millions of illegal immigrants from deportation.
A coalition of states calls it an executive power grab. "President Obama's executive action is an affront to our system of republican self-government," said Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, who supports those states.
But the White House contends the presidents authority is clear, and the policies humane and reasonable.

Battle over Obama immigration actions lands before Supreme Court

Thank, Liz.
Obama sees his role as running interference for illegals and Syrian refugees against those mean old Americans.
Shame on him.
Even with Scalia this would have gone Obama’s way. Remember that Kennedy sided with the commies in torpedoing Arizona’s SB1070 and committing treason. It will be 5-3 in favor of DACA, and then Obama will immediately expand it to EVERY SINGLE illegal in America.
State seeks to pick up pace on bringing Syrian refugees to US
The State Department is hoping to bring an average of nearly 1,500 Syrian refugees to the United States per month in order to meet President Obama's target of settling 10,000 refugees in the country by September.
About 1,300 refugees have already been placed in the United States since Obama first made the commitment in September.
Short version: 4-4. Obama continues to do what he wants.
>A 4-4 ruling would effectively scuttle the issue until after Obama leaves office in nine months, and mean at least a temporary setback to his domestic policy legacy even if the justices punt, and choose to reargue the case when Scalias replacement is sworn in. The justices also could rule narrowly on procedure, finding a compromise on a technical issue not directly related to the larger policy questions.
Oh, the Courts NEVER deal with specifics. Just look at O’Care. Re-written from the bench, ‘State exchanges’ don’t mean State exchanges...
And Congress continues to do...NOTHING.
Congress voted to repeal. That's not nothing. Problem is that Obama vetoed it.
ObamaCare is done as soon as we elect a GOP President, as long as he also has a GOP Congress. Until then, we're stuck with it.
Where two or more are gathered in His name...
I join in agreement and prayer. It is always his will that people want his will. It’s an answerable prayer.
Thank-you Our Messiah for hearing us and for us being in agreement with you.
Thank-you for your will, and thank-you in advance for your answer.
But, the government simply says the number is too big to deport.
I wish we could get tens of millions to stop paying taxes in order if they would say the number is too big to prosecute.
Its time for all of those faith leaders to be displayed, with their “lookeemee im legal!” 503c papers and recent photographs in all sorts of publishing media.
Jesse Duplantis Ministrirs, for example, claim that his house, his vehicles-two and four wheel, are all part of his ahem ministry.
As he has preached in the past, on record, to depend upon God fot EVERYTHING, why does his ahem ministry need a nice fancy HARLEY???
Does GOD need that to tote him around?
I think its time for preachers to stop wallpapering their offices with all their scholastic foolery, and government tax licenses, and just do what they were called, if that is true, to do.
Is anything impossible, (too difficult for God?) ... NO!
only God allows us to learn from our mistakes.
We are to ever grow in the way of Jesus.
Have faith and believe in God to help America. We may be out numbered, but God is not.
God teaches us through His Word and our experiences on going.
