Path to certain failure: NeverTrump + NeverCruz = NeverWin = LostSCOTUS = LostFreedom = LostNation

Posted on 04/13/2016 2:36:02 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Captain obvious here again, but NeverTrump/NeverCruz is not the way. We all have our favorites, but don't lose sight of the mission.

The mission on FR is to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our POSTERITY!!

It's a lot bigger than you or me or our personal opinions or egos. It's about the very survival of our nation and the promise of freedom for future generations.

Reagan said that freedom is never more than one generation from extinction and he was 100% correct.

President Clinton or President Sanders means the end of freedom in America.

Do not let freedom expire on our watch!!

Free Republic will support our Republican nominee whoever he is against the godless Marxist/socialist Democrats in November!!

They matter for reasons stated above.

If their intentions are known they shape inevitability perception of the race.

Thanks for the ping/pic, Albion Wilde. Marxists/Socialists (secular totalitarians) and JIhadists (religious totalitarians) will kill us all whenever they can. Witness history and current events.

Ted should see this

Ted only cares about Ted, just like all the other bought & paid for politicos in DC.

A candidate should drop out if they have ZERO chance of winning the nomination.

Cruz on the other hand has a SOLID shot at it.

The Republic is already lost and gone.

We had a velvet coup - no one noticed, no one believes it. Yet the evidence is all there, right in your faces - and everyone pretends it’s not so. Factions and party cheering the shell game to preserve the shell of what we once were, while the masterminds play us all like cards.

Half the population has made government their god, and the other half is looking to make their chosen political messiah king.

Everything you are witnessing right now, are the death throes of a civil society fast devolving into the morass of anarchy, tribalism and Statism.

It’s what history teaches every failed republic goes through right before sown seeds of chaos and massive upheaval gives way to an oppressive dictatorship that a majority applauds for the empty promise of order, sustenance and revenge. You already hear and see those sentiments being expressed.

We are weak. Divided. Immoral. Ignorant. Unthinking. Unprincipled and infected with a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.

The consequences of which we are just beginning to feel.

Harsh, yes. But the truth often is.

Sadly, as history also teaches - the vast, vast majority - never wants to hear it, and often set upon those trying to warn and plead with them.

This election is not going to save us. We saw our last legitimate national election in 2008.

You do not stop tyranny via civil means, and the blessings of liberty are not possible without repentance, which few churches and leaders are even willing to mention. Now we have intolerant “tolerance”, Chrislam, Black Lives Matters and Democratic Socialism. The opposition surrenders wholesale or tears itself apart in virulence unseen towards those whom perpetrated their servitude.

We have yet to reap what we have already sown, and God is not going to hear a nation’s pleas in calamity when it has discarded Him.

Instead, He is going to laugh at us because he has given us over to our own ways. Proverbs 1:24-32

If this makes you angry - your problem is with the truth and perhaps your faith is in men and their institutions, which gets to the actual root cause of why we have arrived at this point to begin with.

Would be sorta like a MLB team with less runs not playing the ninth inning.

The home team's half of an inning is the bottom of the inning, and the break between halves of an inning is the middle of the inning. If the home team is leading in the middle of the final scheduled inning, or scores to take the lead in the bottom of the final scheduled inning, the game immediately ends in a home victory.
As for now, in the interest of comity, we can refer back to your statement in the next few weeks ahead.

Clinton: ‘I Would Create The First Ever Office Of Immigrant Affairs’ As President http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3420608/posts

Trump vows Mexico border wall will be built within two years - "I would say it would be complete within two years from the time we start, we'll start quickly," Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity at a town hall in Pittsburgh, Pa. "We'll start quickly, and it will be a real wall. It will be a real wall."

You are disregarding what has Trump so flared up.

Cruz has sewed up the second ballot, and the primary is not even over, no convention dickering will be needed.

Attention to detail, and precise maneuvers.

That is exactly the kind of man that makes America great.

Trump brought his checkers to a three dimensional chess game.

You’re using the wrong terminology, wrong analogy.

The first ballot will not produce anything.

The second ballot will make Cruz the nominee.

what’s the purpose of saying one has to drop out now?

Surely you jest? So that Trump, as the only valid candidate standing, will have no difficulty in reaching the 1237 delegate threshold. That is opposed to possibly neither reaching 1237 and both being disenfranchised by the exclusionary rule, therefore allowing the GOPe to stand up their own Dole/McCain/Romney nominee.

You’re Delusional. Attention to detail? Are we talking about the guy who didn’t know he was a Canadian citizen? Or, shall we file that under precise maneuver?

Great, so lets say we give you your point.

Now what about the election.

As a northeaster, I suspect you are going to see how unpopular Cruz is on the 19th and the 26th. Of course I could be wrong and hope I am, but I think what you are going to see based on the respective dem/repub primary totals is the following:

1) PA is competitive, with more votes on the republican side than democratic.

2) same is true for new Jersey (June 7th), Connecticut and possibly Maryland.

possible but not likely:

3) New York is actually competitive for the republicans, last time that was so was in 1984.

The above is true for trump at the head of the ticket. Now from what I see on the ground Cruz does not have a shot at these votes for the following reasons. Of course I may be wrong, but this is what I hear:

1) Trump is concerned about the loss of industrial middle class Jobs, Cruz is not.

2) Trump is serious about immigration, Cruz may or may not be.

3) Crus has great plans but hey are unrealistic. A lot of his proposals are like that.

Example: He is going to get a flat tax. Not a chance in heck, that removes congresses very lucrative lobbying game.

4) Cruz want to raise the retirement age to 70. Now a lawyer might be able to keep working until 70, but only about 15% of the manual labor class can. Result: lowered retirement benefits for folks on the bottom.

The ugly truth is that the none of the Cruz folks want to deal with this. You go on and on about polls, and Cruz’s ground game, but it is tone deaf in the northeast. He looks like his for bankers, lawyers and other riff raff. he does not seem to live in the same living space as the middle class here.

Cruz may play well in the Midwest, but by the same token Trump lays well in the northeast, he gets folks concerns here, and apparently in the south as well (east of the Mississippi).

If fairness I think Trump is weak without Cruz. So the only ticket hat makes sense is Trump/Cruz in 2016,Cruz at the head in 2020. Both sides get something and we have a half a chance to fix the problems in this country.

That would be what is called politics.

Trump can do the VERY same thing... He could play the long game.

Unfortunately for him, his campaign is not organized enough to do that.

I hope you know we can see through this mendacious farce. The delegates that are ramrodding themselves into the Nominating Convention are the long standing GOPe apparatchik which no real outsider could hope to elbow around. No independent campaign could organize enough to do that, short of an old-school Union Boss in Chicago.

Invar, it is unfortunate that you don’t own a Bible.

We are in “interesting times” without question.

In the fall of next year, the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy begins. seven years after that, the “governments of men” come to an end, forever.

For those that have kept Yehova’s commandments, that will be good news. For those that have chosen to be “Great Men of the Earth,” it will be a time of gnashing of teeth.

We need to bring as many of the inhabitants of the Earth to Yehova and his son in the remaining time. Having a president that truly knows Yeshua would certainly make that easier for the present. Having a president that says he need not confess his sins because he is a good guy would be a disaster in these perilous times.

Your fears over the direction of the world are preventing you from being an effective witness for Yeshua.

Yehova is not dealing with nations presently, he is dealing with men.
