Limbaugh makes urgent plea to outsiders like Trump

In the wake of national outrage over perceived rigging in the presidential primary process, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh is urging political outsiders such as Donald Trump to learn the rules of the game if they wish to achieve success.

On his broadcast Tuesday, Limbaugh reminded listeners that both the Republican and Democratic Parties are private organizations, and are akin to businesses who don’t want an outsider coming in and taking over the show.

“The first order of business of any business is to stay open. The second order of business is to make sure the people who run it continue to run it. To stop coup d’etats, so to speak,” Limbaugh said.

Why would you have to encourage a candidate to learn the system? Seems like that’s a given.

Yesterday I got sick and tired of listing to Rush talk about the Colorado situation and turned him off. It’s not that he doesn’t have a point (a minor one), but he’s overtalked it.

“Rush has endorsed nobody in this race. He is making observations. He has also made some that Cruz supporters might not want to hear. The absolute lack of objectivity that the heat of this race is generating is alarming.”

Oh, come on. Don’t pretend that Rush is sitting on any kind of fence. I’ve heard him mock Trump’s voice, rant at Trump supporters on the phones, and endlessly quote anti-Trump articles. On the other hand, I’ve heard him call Cruz “the ideal conservative,” say he’s absolutely “not a liar” and justify the hijinks in Colorado as if being “smart” enough to take advantage of stacked rules is something to be proud of.

I think that's the operative word: reform. Much like the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther challenged the existing rules of the church and by doing so, brought new life into a stagnant, corrupt church. Doesn't mean he didn't suffer for it, nor all who supported him. Trump is nailing the proverbial "Thesis" to the door and is exposing the corruption of the "indulgence" system. Just like the Republican Party, indulgences had to do with the flow of corrupt money.

Rush almost HAS to support Cruz because Trump is more a Populist than a Conservative.

If Trump wins it means the electorate has turned its back on Goldwater-Reagan Conservatism. And if those days are done, Rush’s career is not far behind.

Several problems there:

First, if Trump did leave and take his supporters with him, most of them are Trump supporters, not Republican supporters.

Second, the GOPestablishment doesn't care what the 'little people' think or want. The GOPe only care about maintaining their club, because that gives them access to power and money.

Third, the Battered Conservatives Syndrome will continue. Conservatives take a beating every presidential election cycle, and they still hang on to the Republican Party. They can't change it from within, because they have little power. They can't change it from the outside, because they have little power. But they hang on, vote for the GOP Selectee, and basically vote for the same and expect a different result.

I see it a little different. As I posted months ago, I think that, if he wins, Trump takes over the role as “America’s Truth Teller,” and Rush’s role (and therefore listenership, and therefore profits) become greatly diminished.

“Trump knows how to deal with the mangled wreck”

Not apparent from his handling of the nomination process. A true deal maker would have found a way to win the RNC over and gain their support.

It seems like he’s willing to make deals with the Leftists but not the Republicans. hmmmm I wonder why......It couldn’t have ANYTHING to do with his decades of being a leftist.

It’s a bit like saying he is for family when he is taking a homosexual activist money for this campaign.

cruz the man who will say and do anything , the sleazy ivy league lawyer who has not finished his first term, remind you of anyone? Yes there are some so insane they would vote for that again.

In the old days when you got caught dealing off the bottom of the deck there were consequences. Apparently, Rush thinks you should just thank the dealer.

Pray America wakes

I hear you, do more of the same and expect a different result plus be sure to call anyone who disagrees with that point of view a leftist or democrat or communist or ignorant . . . .

The nurse will be here with your GOPe Thorazine and Conservative placebo soon, so don't go all hyper and drooling on us.

Trump be d@mned...I‘m not interested in learning the rules, if they’re corrupt. I’m interested in ending the corruption. If that means changing the rules, fine; if it means changing the heads in charge, fine; if it means a different party, fine.
